When conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt spoke to Donald Trump earlier this evening, he asked a question about Quds Force General Qasem Soleimani that led to a comical exchange in which the GOP frontrunner thought they were talking about Iraqi Kurds before finally giving up and accusing Hewitt of asking gotcha questions.
So, as an experiment, Hewitt invited Republican candidate Carly Fiorina to answer the same question without any preparation to see if she had a similar amount of trouble.

Get ready Trump supporters. Now that he’s signed the RNC “holiness agreement” everything but the kitchen sink is going to be thrown at him.
Gird yourselves.
She’s wonderful...did business with Iran...is fine with slaughtering babies and great the homo ‘marriage’...jolly good candidate!
The only thing there was that the cat was out of the bag for Fiorina. Maybe she knew answer, maybe she didn’t prior.
I am not suggesting malice, but any interviewer can start asking for a list of names, and eventually, everybody will flub.
Personally, I don’t think this is a big deal, and also indicates a slow news day.
Hugh Hewitt is obsessed with trivia.
He is likable but not a serious analyst of politics.
I like Carly.
Sue me :p
I like her. I believe she would make a good press secretary.
The question was like Hewitt was conducting a spelling bee.
We don’t need the names for all the Islamic extremist roaches. We just need to exterminate them.
This is a nothingburger. He clearly thought Hewitt said Kurds and not Quds.
Immigration and jobs. Stick to it Donald.
Hugh Hewitt reads whatever he is TOLD to read or he gets FIRED...
Just for the heck of it I just asked my old father about Al Bagdadi, Nasrallah and Zawahiri.
He could name them all and which organisation they belong to.
You don’t need to be foreign policy or terrorism export to know these things.
Oh so now we’re suppost to be pumping for Carly????
NO THANKS, she belongs as shillary’s v.p....
I have friends who are firmly behind Perry and Bush. They are ripping Trump and touting what a phony he is, that he should have known what Hewitt asked. I am keeping my mouth shut as I refuse to lose friends over this. Trump is creating a lot of waves with the establishment crowd. I say, great, he deserves to speak up and out.
Trump has been giving speeches on the Middle East issues, so the question was definitely on topic
I could have answered the question, but then again i don’t have 10 billion in assets.........
Fiorina didn’t respond to the question either. She didn’t explain who General Soleimani was. She explained who the Quds force is though.
She also incorrectly stated that the Iran deal has been passed...technically it has enough support to pass, but it hasn’t been voted on.
Quds and Kurds sound similar. Once that was clarified, Trump should have known the significance of the Quds force because part of the bad Iran “deal” is how the (outrageous) $150B (that we are borrowing from China) might be used.
However, Hewitt’s question was about a rather obscure person and NOT the organization the he leads. Even if Trump knew about the Quds (and there was no indication that he knew about the Quds), the question was about a person.
It was a gotcha question.
You forgot to mention that she believes in man-made global warming.
Reminds me of history class. I love history and enjoyed the classes, but when test time came the questions were like: “ What was the name of the river so-and-so crossed and what was the name of his maid”?
If you have to focus on trivia you lose sight of the big picture.
Straight up bulls*t. She was after Trump. She was given some clues as to what Hewitt might ask, ergo she had time to prep.
If I have it correct...Trump was interviewed by Anderson Cooper...after the interview Cooper stated that Trump came on the show with no prep at all, no question that were vetted beforehand, only came with two people-not a gaggle to make sure everything went perfect...he had no 3x5 cards with info...NOTHING
Just walked right out there and said what was on his mind.
The question I have is did he mishear the questionsor or does he actually not know the difference.
