The popularity of the Eagles' third quarterback competition between Matt Barkley and Tim Tebow could be seen in the stands of MetLife Stadium, where Tebow's No. 15 from his one season with the Jets was spotted during the team's 24-18 win over the Eagles. It could be heard when Tebow entered the game in the second quarter to cheers of his name. Read more at

Up to now hes mostly been in Q3 and Q4 with the 2nd and 3rd string OL. Still think they out to think about trading Sanchez. Eagles look good this year. Its been a head-scratcher seeing Kelly drop the Eagles two franchise players, McCoy and Jackson. Next thing you know, the Eagles are rated as having a 10% chance of winning the Superbowl! So, ya gotta respect the idea that Kelly actually knows what hes doing. If Sam Bradford can play a full season . . .
If Bradford can stay on the field, then Sanchez will be moot, and Tebow/Barkley even more so. If not, it could be real interesting. Sanchez never really made his mark with the Jets, and if Kelly can rehab him - and Bradford - why not Tebow? Certainly, its Kellys call - but Tebow has the higher ceiling, presumably. 3rd string QB is a developmental position anyway - and it was possible for Denver to win a playoff game with Tebow, even before he upgraded his release.
While its certainly true that Tebow can run, Mark Sanchez isnt exactly immobile himself. Thing is, neither Sanchez nor Tebow would be attractive to other teams until/unless they develop a track record with the Eagles, which could only happen if Bradford went down again. Hate to see that, either - and if he were badly injured again, wouldnt the Eagles feel the need for very good backups on a permanent basis??

He definitely out played Barkley so if Chip Kelly keeps 3 qb's Tebow should be in. Unless that putts Goodell intervenes.
I'm a Rams fan. I can tell you that Bradford WILL get injured (though I hope he doesn't and wish him success . . . good trade for both teams).
Sanchez will get people's hopes up for a game or two, before returning to form.
Tebow will get his chance.

Kelly keeps Tebow > Bradford re-injured > Sanchez ineffective (per usual) > Tebow leads Iggles to playoffs > Iggles win SB50 (Tebow MVP)
That would be awesome, I would love to see it! Stick fingers in the eyes of haters.

John Elway Elway wasn't much better when he first got into the nfl. Short term memory on his part

He had some pretty good games with Denver... He had some pretty terrible ones as well.

Kelly keeps Tebow > Bradford re-injured > Sanchez ineffective (per usual) > Tebow leads Iggles to playoffs > Iggles win SB50 (Tebow MVP) And then gives up football for a cabinet position in President Lindsey Graham's administration.

Elway wasn't much better when he first got into the nfl. Elway got better. Tebow didn't.

Yes but mostly good because he took Denver to the playoffs at least.

If I was advising Tebow (assuming he wanted to stay in football) I’d recommend coaching.
Jim Harbaugh (another NFL qb) got hired for $5m/yr at Michigan.
I think Tim has the “right stuff” for that career path.
