They are not really experts if they can’t figure this out.
Just low information media types.

showing they can work together. That's showing independents and moderates how they can govern

That was a talking point in 2012, but one day in 2015 everybody woke up and said, "Hey...I don't have a job. My brother only has a part time job at Burgers are Us for minimum wage. My kids are lucky to have diapers, much less toys."

And then they realized they had been scammed.

Two job categories UTTERLY WORTHLESS, but still paid (for now):

1. JOURNALISTS - Expensive grad school, lots of loans, but now naked people in their basement do their jobs better than them, and for free. Also they’re usually slower than unemployed people surfing around or looking at twitter. For now they still put out a solid product for fish mongers or people with parrots.

2. POLITICAL CONSULTANTS - Usually also have grad school loans, these people dole out tons of stupid advice that is now demonstrably WORTHLESS. Bloviate a lot and get to pass themselves off as smart but in a couple hours it’s clear they’re wrong. Think of them as alchemists in nice looking suits.

“3. The Constitution was written to be understood by the voters; its words and phrases were used in their normal and ordinary as distinguished from technical meaning; where the intention is clear, there is no room for construction and no excuse for interpolation or addition.” —United States v. Sprague, 1931.

Great post - Rush should have added this:

JEB acts like he would rather be the the Ambassador to Mexico than President.
No, no, that's not tarnishing the party.

It's a sad day in America when a 'politically incorrect' person is perplexing.

I've HAD IT with politicians. The GOPe triggered this firestorm. They can EAT IT for all I care.

If there was ever a group of people 180 degrees out of phase with reality, it has to be the modern-day Republican leadership.

Not just Republican leadership. I LOT of people in charge of things everywhere are in for a big surprise. Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin

Perfect rant. Rush is spit on. So glad he’s done backing the GOP traitors and can be as unPC as Donald.

There's NOTHING to figure out.

If you're "out of touch" with the public then I guess they would be trying to figure it out.

All across the political spectrum people remain perplexed and confused and disbelieving, in utter denial. "It can't be happening," they say. "It's violating everything we've ever believed. It's violating every tenet that we've ever known. It's violating every principle that we have ever employed. None of this is making any sense.

Hey...it's called a Paradigm Shift...

This entire Trump thing reminds me of when Rush Limbaugh first came on the air in 1988. Now, it took longer to play out, but the results and process were the same.

In that first year, the establishment tried to ignore Rush. Pretend his show didn’t exist.

Then they started to attack Rush from the left and even a few on the right were afraid of him. Call him a bigot, womanizer, homophobe, whatever it took. Boycott the advertisers, etc. Claim no one in America should have a platform like he did to say the things he did. Gorbasms, homeless updates with that Frogman song, Condom updates.

But quickly over those first couple years on the air, a lot of us came to realize that our common sense opinions on things were ok to have. And that thousands, no millions, held the same opinion of things. Rush was the one who made it “ok” to be conservative and brought us confidence to vote as a block.

And by 1994, Rush and talk radio had brought together enough of us to vote out the Democratic congress in a historical wave.

I see the chance for the same thing with Trump here.
