CNN amends debate criteria, Fiorina may get in

Fiorina is the only woman in the Republican field. She likely would not have been among the top 10 candidates on the debate stage on Sept. 16 as determined by national polling between July 16 and Sept. 10. The new terms would add any candidate who ranks in the top 10 in polling between Aug. 6 and Sept. 10 — a period that better reflects Fiorina’s rise in the polls.

I'd like to see her on stage. Surely she can take Rand Paul's spot!

As an outsider, I think she's raised some interesting points and also responded to questions well - including yesterday with the gay marriage license flap.

She could make an interesting cabinet secretary or Veep pick if she garners some momentum.

Thoughts?

Trump would eviscerate FioRINO if it weren’t for the “war on women” meme....

An attempt to scatter the voters, Fiona is an “outsider.” The idea is to pull people away from Trump to Carson and Fiona, neutralizing the base, and giving Bush the edge.

I have no interest in Fiorina. The lady has ruined everything she has ever touched and has lost every time people have been able to vote for her.

Sounds like a perfect candidate for the Democrats though!

I think Yeb’s tanking has much to do with this.

MSM is desperate to dilute conservative/anti-establishment support.

Look for the field to stay at a million candidates until Trump's support begins to taper off.

Yes, this sweetie is a RINO. I have no use for her. May Trump have mercy on her campaign.

I think she promised to go after Trump in exchange for a podium.

Since this is likely the last debate we will watch I hope they let Carly in. She’s a bit too moderate for me but I think she adds to the discussion. Most of these people have nothing new to say so I’m only willing to hear it one more time.

We are pretty much set to vote for Trump. I don’t expect him to do very well in these debates but I’m not looking for the slickest talker so who cares?

Unbelievable. Now we have a bonafide Republican affirmative action candidate. A woman to cat fight with Clinton, who couldn’t make it on her own by the rules. Pathetic. She was FIRED from HP and Lucent, she twice lost political campaigns. she has NOTHING to offer. Which is why she had to play for rule change. What a loser.

I’m no Fiorina fan, but you’re not being fair. She did a great job at Lucent (I was there then) and was not fired. She left voluntarily to take the HP - CEO job.

It was after she left Lucent that the company went into the $hitter. It had way more to do with Revenue Recognition and poor acquisition decisions which Fiorina had no role in.

Of course she should be in the debate. She is as sharp as Cruz and takes on Hillary to devastating effect. Just because her and I have differences on issues does not mean she has nothing to offer. She has much to offer.

She is the only one who is focused on Clinton.

Trump attacks Obama and Bush
Cruz and Carson really haven’t gone negative
The rest attack Trump

She’s not my choice, but she could help the rest focus on the real target.

I too was at Lucent and then Avaya. It was pump and dump stock manipulation that brought down the house. Rich McGinn former CEO made a killing on a stock selloff a month before the big tumble. The CFO for Lucent was awarded the CEO chair at Avaya for his cooperation in the reporting necessary to execute the scheme. They were never indited because in New Jersey, organized crime is a significant industry.

Fiorina may be a beltway outsider, but she is no conservative so she gets no points for being the affirmative action candidate from the left coast.

Are they dropping someone to make room for her, or will it now be 11?

Ahh yes, the good old days! :)

When I started at Lucent the stock was $75 per share and we were told to buy and hold because it was going to $140. Meanwhile, all the VPs in my department were quietly selling. For a while there I was working with 6 millionaires. Never even knew it.

The day I left Lucent, the stock was .60 cents. Cut bait on that crap long ago after Alcatel took over and the reverse split. I didn’t lose as much as some of my friends. Many “lower level” employees had their 401ks destroyed. After the lawsuit that ensued, I think I was awarded $40 for my share of the settlement.

Meanwhile, as you say - people were buying yachts, villas in Tuscany, islands off the coast of Costa Rica... I worked hand in hand with them.

I live right near Avaya now. I think they’re trying to sell the equivalent of 8 tracks still. I have no idea how they’re in business.
