As reprehensible as those offenses are, they are not capital crimes. Shooting a suspect is supposed to be used only as a last resort, not a first or second one.
You resist arrest you are tempting fate. He cooperates and he is alive today. He chose poorly.
I am sure he was given multiple chances to surrender, multiple chances to turn his life around.
One of the hardest things for many people to realize is that there are some people that ain’t worth a dead dog and because they don’t many are killed as a result of their ignorance.
I don’t so much have trouble with that as they they took their chances and made their choice. It’s when innocents die as I result of people decisions to give on going chances to people who have proven beyond a doubt they don’t deserve another that makes me mad. Such people have blood on their hands even if they don’t see it.
