"At 12:53 a.m. Sunday, two men barbecuing outside a home in the 800 block of 30th Street in West Oakland were wounded by gunfire"
Firing up the BBQ at one in the morning?
1am is about right if you’re doing a whole hog.
L
Sure...why not?
Well, maybe they came home from doing whatever, and wanted a little snack, barbecued preferably? Better than nuking in the microwave?
The timing is about right for burnt ends for breakfast.
When ya gots ta have it, ya gots ta have it.
“She and a friend had just gotten into a car outside her home in the 6700 block of Avenal Avenue about 8:56 p.m. Saturday to drive to a concert in San Francisco.
Officer Jason Andersen said that before they could leave, a car pulled up and a man got out and apparently tried to rob the two.
For some reason the robber started shooting into the car, hitting Anderson. The robber then fled in his vehicle without taking anything, Andersen said.”
Perhaps it wasn’t an attempted robbery at all.
Well it's not like they ever need to get up early for anything.
Concert goers lives matter!
I shouldn’t be so flippant, RIP to this poor woman.
OTOH, it's a convenient way to dispose of any evidence out in the open, too.
Or maybe they just got off the second shift.

Hey, I lived in Anaheim, CA. and had some "Island People" apparently what Samoans call themselves, living across the street and the men and boys spent damn every waking moment in the front yard using the car as a personal stereo and barbecuing, and yes at times as late as three A.M.. Really classy neighbors that I won't miss since I moved. I would like to say that I don't believe this of most Samoans but when the Father died a few years back they took over the whole street for a month and trashed it every night. Call me racist if you want, but that's the experience I have to go by.
BBQ at 12:53am? NBD...just means summun furgot
ta pay the PG&E bill agin’.
Strange story in my opinion. The victim’s name was Anderson and the man with her was named Anderson, and he was an officer? And a car came by to apparently rob them, but ended up shooting, hitting the woman and killing her, and then left? Odd.
