Christie: Track Immigrants Like FedEx Packages
By Cassie Spodak and Eugene Scott August 29, 2015
Chris Christie said Saturday that if elected president, he will track undocumented immigrants like FedEx packages.
"I'm going to have Fred Smith, the founder of FedEx, come work for the government for three months. Just come for three months to Immigration and Customs Enforcement and show these people," the New Jersey governor said at a town hall event here.
Christie added that while FedEx can track boxes, the U.S. can't track undocumented immigrants.
"You go online and at any moment, FedEx can tell you where that package is," he said. "Yet we let people come into this country with visas, and the minute they come in, we lose track of them."

> Christie should rethink those white pants.
I agree. Too much cameltoe showing ... : )
Fat boy stole that idea from Newt Gingrich. Pathetic Fat boy!
850-900 lbs? ;)
“Guv Krispy finally comes up with something original and good.”
Yup. They’re not even Americans nor green card holders so why should I give a hoot?
Don’t track em, EJECT THEM.
Maybe a Mark. On the back of the hand or on the forehead.
Right, Chris?
I wish Christie would make more noise ... His threads are always hilarious!
I like his ideas for legal immigrants very much but for illegal aliens — GET THEM THE HELL OUT OF MY COUNTRY!! track them IN MEXICO!!
Illegal immigrants don’t have Visas.
You can’t tell him that he’s not lookin good in that uniform! Mr. It, plus a big bag of barbequed chips.
As my mother would have said, ‘The man has no shame!”
Track jig rants ( christiewont say illegals) like illegals.
Heck catch them at the border
It’s no ore than the Mexicans do
Ask Tamoorisi
I guess we could tattoo a barcode on one of their arms, then mark them “return to sender.”
Too many of us who have been tracking the illegal immigration problem for many years know that he has been missing in action since he can on the scene. He should have talked like this several years ago. WE don’t want any Johnny come latelys.
Actually, approximately 40% of illegals are entered into a system already, because they arrived legally and overstayed their visa. Those are the people Christie is talking about - the idea is that with better systems to keep track of people here on temporary visas, it would be easier to prevent overstays.
40% do have visas, upon their initial entry, then they overstay them.
Maybe he wouldn’t mind demonstrating one for us.
Up until some time in the early 70’s. green card holders, that’s all with legal status permanent, temp student or work, had to register every January with a Feb cutoff date. Information included residence address, phone, all employment info. Radio, TV, newspaper ads started appearing after first of the year as reminders. Every US Post Office had the necessary card forms.
Seemed to work pretty well in pre-computer era until they “fixed” it.
