That’s possible and he probably could help a few along if he maintains his popularity.
But the one place were I think he could do an awful lot of good is in anti-advocacy - for the likes of Boehner, Graham, and McCain for starters, IIRC they’re ALL up for re-election in 2016 (Boehner every two years of course). Any votes he could muster against these three would be like cutting the head off the GOP leadership snake. There probably are more, but these are a damn good start. McConnell would have another 4 years to go in 2016, so only a President Trump (I am for Cruz BTW) could do anything to him then.
I think there is no doubt, that he’s going to support the guy running against McCain. NO doubt there. If Cruz is the running mate, they’ll go after Boehner.
I’m just floored at the African Americans out there for him. It’s underground right now, but these people are fanatically behind him. This is their country too, and they’re in the trenches with the illegals.
