A New York Magazine writer and author of the 2014 book about Fox News CEO Roger Ailes, "The Loudest Voice in the Room," said in a recent televised interview the cable station's biggest star, Megyn Kelly, may not be re-engaging in public disputes with presidential hopeful Donald Trump because she doesn't want to hurt her chances to move to a more mainstream network, like CNN.
Kelly, on the heels of widespread criticism of her debate night questioning of Trump after which the billionaire businessman called her a "bimbo" in a tweet went on what she and Fox officials said was a long-planned vacation. Trump, on the other hand, claimed her vacation was due to the fireworks she faced from her presidential debate questions about his previous treatment of women. As soon as she returned, he retweeted messages from Twitter posters that once again, called her a "bimbo." Various Fox personalities called Trump wrong for reigniting the dispute with Kelly, while Ailes came out and called for the presidential contender to apologize.
Kelly, meanwhile, took the high road and didn't directly respond to Trump's latest attacks. And Newsmax TV host Steve Malzberg wanted author Gabriel Sherman to explain why. "I think she, up until this point, was kind of the fastest rising star at Fox," Sherman said. "She was really becoming the face of the network. ... I don't think she wants to get down in the weeds and in the gutter...

I had said she would be gone in 3 to 6 months. I may have guessed too high. I’m still not watching until she’s out of there. Its a matter of principle.
She and Fox need each other.
“Buh Bye, Megyn. We will not miss you... “
Might want to replace her with Andrea Tantaros!
Yes..didn’t miss a thing...CNN a mainstream network????? Since when??
The narrative is wrong.
Good riddance. Have fun in Siberia, bimbo.
"In early 2007, as Chetry's contract with Fox News neared the end of its term, the network negotiated with Chetry's agent to renew her contract. Her contract was expected to be renewed with her continuing to co-host Fox & Friends Weekend. However, talks ended when Fox News claimed in a February 15, 2007, letter to Chetry's agent, that Chetry had demanded "that Fox News include a clause in her new agreement that would have been detrimental to other Fox News Talent." The cable news network added that it would not renew her contract and that she was free to leave before the expiration of her contract:[8] Chetry exercised that option. Allegedly, Chetry wanted a clause in her contract that would have had Gretchen Carlson, a co-anchor of Fox & Friends, fired.[9][10] Chetry's agent countered that the allegation of Chetry's wanting Carlson fired was "absolutely false".[11] Another source said that the clause in question merely requested a written clarification of whether Chetry would become a "Fox & Friends" co-host and, if so, when. If that were not to happen by a certain date, then Chetry would have a window to exit her new contract.[12]"

That is some funny shite!!!
Anyone see BOR last night? He’s not defending Kelly like he normally does. Maybe he wants his highest ratings back.
Sounds like she was getting fired and would like the other job.
But why would CNN want to lose it’s recent jump in watchers of nearly 20% and lose maybe 50% more instead now by hiring failed unfair talk show host Megyn Kelly?
All that hotness went to CNN, whereupon she got sucked into the memory hole with Alison Camerota.
They both may as well be anchoring in Duluth.
Ask Alisyn Camerota how that move worked out for her, Megyn. Ask Bill Hemmer and Ed Henry how their moves to FNC are working for them too.
“How many viewers has Fox lost since the Trump dust-up? “
Just saw Kelly was down 13% this week since she returned from “vacation.” Similarly, the CNN show opposite her was up 22%. Ailes & Co
She could join Al Sharpton on his new Sunday morning (8AM) MSNBC hour long show. They could call it The Ebony & Ivory Hour.
I read that Allison Camoratta got fired from Fox. Or more politely that Fox didn’t renew her contract and that she was very hurt by it but managed to find another job. At CNN. What the article said was Bill Hemmer couldn’t get along with her.
>> what ever happened to Kieren Chetry, or whatever her name was? <<
My understanding is that her agent couldn’t squeeze more bucks out of Ailes for her salary, so she took the CNN gig.
Probably the same story for Alison Camerota. Such matters are seldom ideological. Just follow the money!
Don’t let your ass hit you on the way out.
Boy! Megyn is in it for Megyn. She just dumps Fox for greener pastures.
This move will destroy her career.
I saw her on an informercial recently.
Megyn Kelly AKA Tabloid Barbie is going nowhere. She will be at Fox for a few more years at least in the 9PM slot. She gets very good ratings.
Tabloid Barbie has beaten Bill O'Reilly sometimes w higher ratings
