In a case regarding a specific gun control law which bans “unauthorized aliens” (illegal immigrants) from possessing firearms in the United States, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit did the work of a contortionist by upholding the law while also pointing out that they “see no principled way to carve out the Second Amendment and say that the unauthorized (or maybe all noncitizens) are excluded.”
In a word—illegal immigrants have Second Amendment rights too.
The case was titled United States v. Meza-Rodriguez, and the decision was handed down on August 20.

I have no problem at all with “granting” 2A rights to illegal immigrants. The right to self defense is a God given right. I have a problem with the state trying to make people defenseless, creating easy targets, creating victims out of thin air and entire neighborhoods ripe for violent criminality because the sociopaths will know they are unarmed.

So in effect the court is saying that the *constitution* permits illegal aliens to have guns and ammunition, *but* FDRs perversion of the Interstate Commerce Clause means that he can have his 2nd Amendment rights taken away!
Oh, man, this is just so wrong in so many ways.
