Trump, Cruz to Hold Joint Event to Blast Iran Deal

Presidential candidates Donald Trump and Ted Cruz are planning to appear together at an upcoming Capitol Hill rally against the proposed nuclear deal with Iran.

Trump announced the event during an appearance Thursday in South Carolina, saying it would be "in the next few weeks."

Cruz aides confirmed Trump's statement. They say that the Texas senator invited Trump to join him at an event sponsored by Tea Party Patriots, the Center for Security Policy and the Zionist Organization of America.

Congress is expected to begin debate on the accord when lawmakers return from recess Sept. 8

Trump, who leads most polls of GOP primary voters, called Cruz a "nice guy."

Cruz has declined to criticize the front-runner for his controversial comments on immigration or any other topic.

Even if Cruz ends up VP I have a feeling he would be very influential within a Trump administration.

And he'd be in a position to take the top spot before he turns 54.

I don’t trust him with full control. Cuz has been a conservative since he was born for the most part.

Cruz needs to lead the revolution though, and for the time being, Trump seems to have that covered.

I think you're right. If Trump continues to resonate with voters, they will all come out to vote not just for Trump, but against the RINO/GOP-e axis, and perhaps even more importantly, they will view this election cycle as an opportunity to vote against the media which supports the entire corrupt UniParty system and has cast themselves as totally anti-Trump and anti-conservative.

It’s either a one day round trip flight with the rally or a one day drive out, one day rally, and one day drive back. Costwise, six of one and half a dozen of the other. Since it looks like Walker’s flaming out, what I would have contributed to him I can spend on the trip.
