Low fav numbers because LIVs are getting their info about Trump second-hand from MSM outlets.

What I like about him is that he’s not afraid to toot his own horn in comparison to the other candidates who are running who are not honking much at all. It does not show humility, which is something I like in a person’s character when it is appropriate to be humble.

Part of my business is that I am a professional negotiator in difficult, complicated deals. It’s non-profit deals, but among big doctors who have very big egos and don’t play well with others and I must get them to agree to collaboration on a big research project. I can’t be humble all the time.

I have to give them a reason to respect me and trust me. I have to name drop and talk about what I have done and why I have this big research project to handle...not being a doctor. (Doctors only want to deal with other doctors in authoritative positions, if possible.) I have to be meaner than them sometimes. I have to use flattery sometimes to sell them on taking a role I want them to play in a project. I have to forgive them from the past but not forget what they did to cause problems so I can head them off at the pass on the next deal that may come along involving them. They are not chosen for their personalities; they are chosen for their brilliance.

So, I don’t mind Trump tooting his own horn and can understand why any candidate who wants to win has to do that. People don’t just know who you are and what you have done when they don’t actually know you. Hopefully, he does not walk about bragging every day around people where it does not matter what he’s done professionally.

With Jeb “they say” he did a great job as Governor in FL and I still don’t know what he actually did in Florida. I am a “show me state.”

With Cruz, I know what he’s done because I have made it a point to follow him for a while now. But I don’t hear him bragging in his speeches like he should to prove he can do what he wants to do and proving that he’ll be the best at accomplishing XYZ because of what he’s done that is great. I hear policy wonk talk and that’s okay if you already know who it is that is speaking and what they have accomplished.
