“Flanagan writes the Charleston church shooting, in which Dylann Roof killed nine African-American worshippers earlier this summer, “sent [him] over the top.” “
If I remember correctly the guy who killed the people in Charleston was angry because of black-on-white violence. This could start a vicious cycle of tit-for-tat.
It is OK to say that every professional, wild-eyed,screaming protester we see on the streets of Ferguson, New York, LA, or wherever, is a potential copycat Roanoke killer???
I feel this urge to utterly trash a CVS....
No hate crime here. /s
Was it explained why the murderer Bryce Williams also went by a completely different name as a reporter (Vester Flanagan)? Was this because he burned so many bridges and got fired from other news organizations he had to change his name?
The narrative is now set, a desperate reaction to racism and homophobia and we need to examine the root causes and end “White Privilege”. Another bonus the 2nd Amendment was a legal tool used by racist White Slave Owners to suppress Blacks and other People of Color and it’s time to move beyond the oppressive system established by the White Power Structure. It’s time to end this so called “right” which has led to the murder of so many members of the minority population and the privileges the Whites enjoy in order to establish the justice that has long been denied to Blacks and other People of Color.
“Was it explained why the murderer Bryce Williams also went by a completely different name as a reporter (Vester Flanagan)?”
I believe you have it backwards. Williams was his “screen name”. Many times new on-air people, especially in radio, will take on a (typically) three syllable name.
It’s common in broadcasting to have a different on-air name. In this case, Williams was the on-air name and Flanagan was his real name.
Dylann Root's manifesto was available on the web within a day of his shooting, and remained there for weeks, thought it has now been taken down at the primary location.
So a homosexual, racist and likely atheist was upset by a church shooting?
Some moron did kill a Sikh wearing a turban though.
Well- he went ‘over the top’- suggesting that, in a step by step process, that one incident set him off. BUT- does one go from calm, peaceful and self-controlled to reactionary murderer in one step? Nope. Underlying psychotic problems assumed, he built up that murderous rage. Was he raised by racists? Did he get the chip on his shoulder bit by bit, at home, in his ‘culture’? I say yes to all of it and millions more like him are being produced every day. Unbalanced from birth they are stewed in hate from an early age. I want to hear more about his background and would be really interested in what black people on the street think of him. Betcha most sympathasize with him. THAT is where a POS like him comes from!
Somehow, that little nugget of information was missing from the NBC Evening News broadcast last night...
I guess, they were unable to confirm it from multiple sources...
I walked into the house last night somewhere between 18:35 and 18:40. Just as I walked in, ABC Evening News was on (my wife watches it, I don’t) and it finished the segment.
Wow. If this had been a different makeup of perp and victims, the coverage might have gone on non-stop for another half-hour.
In the piece I heard, there was nothing about the guy being black or homosexual, or that the victims were white. Granted, they may have talked it out before I came in.
Very interesting how different the media coverage and political outrage is.
