Just as Rome didn't fall into the lap of emperors overnight, an Obama-type presidency has been long in the making.

Obama only accelerated an existing trend, that of congressional relinquishment of Article I powers.

The sorry fact is that our government operates on precedent, rather than the supreme law of the land.

It means the next American President will possess the despotic powers of Obama; power-wise, he will have more in common with Hugo Chavez than George Washington.

No matter who, the next prez will be a despot.

At best, we can hope for a good and wise man like Cruz, but the Bamster will not risk the presidency to anyone who threatens his transformation; he will not allow his transformation to be reversed. Since he has the entire national ruling apparatus at his call, there is no telling what he and his thugs will pull if it appears the rat candidate will lose.

We have an elective despotism, and the “elective” part will not last long if current events continue on their present course.

Oh my dear God, how we desperately need an Article V state convention before November 2016.
