PRINCETON, N.J. -- U.S. Hispanics are still getting to know most of the Republican contenders for president. At this point in the campaign, less than half have formed an opinion of any Republican candidate except Donald Trump and Jeb Bush. Partly because of this, Hispanics' views of most GOP candidates range from mildly positive to mildly negative. The sole exception is Trump, whose favorable rating with Hispanics is deeply negative.
Gallup began tracking the images of all the major announced candidates for president nightly in early July. Since then, 14% of the roughly 650 Hispanics interviewed have said they view Trump favorably, while 65% have viewed him unfavorably, yielding a net favorable score of -51. This separates Trump from the next-most-unpopular Republicans among Hispanics -- Rick Perry (-7), Ted Cruz (-7) and Jim Gilmore (-6), who are viewed far less negatively.
Bush presents the greatest contrast to Trump. Bush's average 34% favorable and 23% unfavorable ratings among Hispanics since July give him a +11 net favorable score -- the highest of any GOP candidate. The net favorable scores of Marco Rubio (+5), Carly Fiorina (+3), George Pataki (+3), Scott Walker (+2) and Ben Carson (+2) all tilt slightly positive, although none of these candidates is nearly as well-known among Hispanics as Trump and Bush.
In terms of familiarity, only Trump and Bush are recognized by a majority of Hispanics. Eight in 10 have formed an opinion of Trump and about six in 10 of Bush. Familiarity dwindles to roughly 40% for Rubio and Cruz, both Cuban-Americans, as well as for Perry and Chris Christie, but drops well below that for all the others. Actually there is a difference. Mexicans speak many different dialects, some less formal and educated than the original Spanish.

Trump cannot create jobs either. He can, however, by cutting taxes on business and by removing thousands and thousands of stifling regulations, or just by kabolishinging the EPA and DOE induce a situation where American business and industry take off again and industries in other countries relocate to the USA and hire a lot of people who are currently unemployed and raise the wages and salaries of most.
What, are all “hispanics” the same? What about Cuban-Americans, Mexican-American businessmen?
No illegal migrants should have been included in this polling data.
As we expected, these surveyed voters want Jebbie on the ballot as HRC’s opponent. Guess who they will then support?
The “speaking Mexican” comment wasn’t tweeted by Trump. It was tweeted by one of his supporters.
Bashing Trump because of this comment doesn’t make any sense.
It’s a myth that Hispanics are naturally conservative. Always has been. Look at the charts. The more conservative the candidate, the less positive, including Cruz, which should be an outlet for all of these “naturally conservative” Hispanics.
Most Hispanics in the US are of Mexican descent.
Mexicans have no idea what conservatism is; their recent history is socialist revolution.
Mexicans are largely big government national socialists.
Mexico and Mexicans are socialist in ideology, even though they technically have a republican form of government.
Mexicans love Mexico, and are loyal to Mexico, and are just as racist as everyone else.
They will vote for a non Hispanic only if the candidate is a panderer to them against one who is not.
Mexicans are not conservative, the Catholic Church is not conservative. Both are drawn to centralized power.
We KNOW that Trumps’ immigration plan is good for America. So do Mexicans who live in America, but are not American in any meaningful way. That is why Trumps negatives are so high with Hispanics. The writing is on the wall, so to speak.
Win the AMERICAN vote by shaming the usurpers and illegals.
He should begin to contrast Mexico’s immigration laws with ours.
I note also the extreme support they give to the Clinton familia elitist and corruptocrat panderer, and the extreme negative to the Trump business mogul with an (legal) immigrant wife.
Hispanics are naturally big government statists. No amount of pandering by republicans will win a vote when they can vote for a pandering, self loathing, blame whitey, blame America national socialist.
The Trumpster will not get the Mexican vote but neither will bush, nor any republican. That is why democrats want open borders so they can flood america with Mexicans to replace all the black babies being murdered by planed parenthood’s policy of racial purity and elimination of the “negro” from america, ask Margret Sanger where she stands!

You can easily make up for not getting Hispanic votes by getting the white votes that stayed home for McAmnesy and Romney.
Trump’s going to win the Hispanic vote. Just give him time.

They were not asked if they were registered to vote. This could be a sample of illegals for all we know. This poll is useless.
My hair stylist is a legal Hispanic immigrant gay of course but he LOVES Trump he has 8 siblings ALL love Trump he has NEVER voted before and went to DMV 3 days ago to register!!!!
