I missed that one! Perfect: My Casino in Atlantic City went bankrupt because I made the mistake of having an all-you-can-eat buffet in the same state as Chris Christie.

Ive never said he was the real conservative in the race. I support Donald Trump because I believe hes the candidate most willing to take an aggressive stand on illegal immigration. Nothing else matters. Thank you for being honest.

Is there ANYTHING, anything at all, that you like about Donald Trump? If Trump would go off and do his own thing, I couldn't care less about what he does. I will point out that when Hillary said Trump was to blame for the Carolina church shooting, I said that was crazy. When I posted the thread about the two Boston people who beat someone up and blamed Trump, I said I didn't buy it. Because that was the truth in both cases. And they said Trump paid to have some hotline for veterans. if that is true, that's good, even if it was just for him to look good. I just tell the truth about Trump. And the truth is he shouldn't be running for president as a Republican.

If it is true as I have read here that his state operates on a two-year budget, then I guess it would be normal that collections occur over that two-year span. In an ideal system, planned expenditures over time would not exceed tax collections in any given month.
This likely isn’t the case here based on the criticism, and legislators (perhaps the governor, too) count on future collections in that 2 year span and spend what they don’t technically have. Kinda sounds like hand-to-mouth budgeting with a little bit of payday-loans thrown in.
Does the state borrow that money? What might it cost to do that? Or do they just not pay some bills like many Americans out in the hinterlands do?
Regardless, as much as I like Trump’s campaign against the GOP status quo, this wouldn’t have been my choice to notch down Walker if I were of a mind to do so. I’d have gone directly after this “I now don’t have a position on Anchor Babies” stance. With what I’ve seen about his positions over the last two-three years on this whole illegal thing, this definitely tells me that he hasn’t planted down any roots on any of it as far as I can tell. A bad sign to me.

Yes, based on what am I mentally ill. Because I stand up to liberals?
No, I think it is because you make outlandish and unprovable claims about Donald Trump. He seems to be living rent free in your head Nick.
Aren't I doing exactly what you claim that you like about Trump?
Uhhh, no.
I am standing up! Standing up to the media and I'n not being P.C. about Trump. (Because you Trump people have a strong P.C. code) So if you admire Trump doing it, why don't you admire me? If I am mentally ill, then why isn't Trump. Plus, he does it on TV and changes his position every day.
You are probably not being admired because you have by default, made common cause with Reince Preibus, Karl Rove and all the GOPe RINOs who also hate Trump. See what I'm saying here Nick?
By the way, I get plenty of freepmails from people who agree with what I say, but I am guessing don't want to put up with the bullying. I have over 30k posts, and 15k threads, so most of what I've said is not about Trump.
I've been getting plenty of freepmails too, people asking me about what it is you're going on about.
(just kidding, lol)
To be honest, I am totally bored with the Trump topic, but someone has to stick up for our country.
You don't think Trump is already doing that Nick?
Have a great week now.

Look, I will be the first to agree and admire Walker's performance in Wisconsin when it comes to facing down the unions, a corrupt prosecutor and his union wife, and all of the 'RAT-liberal garbage that got slung at him. No argument there. But it does not end there.
Walker instituted conservatism in a way that has not been seen in this country in decades.
Do you understand what he has accomplished?
Voter ID
Concealed Carry
Drug testing welfare recipients
Eliminate in-state tuition for illegals
Banned state funding for Planned Parenthood (long before the videos)
Took taxpayers off the hook for new Milwaukee stadium
Turned a deficit to surplus
Cut taxes
Right to work state
...and more
This is a governor with a pure conservative track record. The attacks on him are proxy attacks on choice words and his associations. But when it comes to an actual record of accomplishment, nobody comes close to Walker.

Well Nick, by this time next year, you will either be validated as a seer and a sage, or brushed with sage and seared on a grille.
I wish you well with that.

I'd call that politics, Erik. So, you want to twist Walker's words and use those against him while ignoring his record.
What do you say about Trump supporting the progressive tax code and criticizing Walker for NOT raising taxes in Wisconsin?

Reince Preibus, Karl Rove and all the GOPe RINOs who also hate Trump.I don't believe that at all. Rove may be annoyed because he isn't in on it, but I think Trump would be his dream candidate. I don't see any evidence that Priebus and the RNC are against Trump, besides what Trump spread. Priebus must be beyond please with Trump. Trump took out the Tea Party for him, which he hadn't been able to do.

Ok, so hypothetically Erik, if you woke up tomorrow morning to discover that you were Scott Walker's campaign manager, what would you advise him to do, to pull away from the pack, make Donald Trump an insignificant factor, and never look back?
A serious question. I agree on the points you have raised regarding Walker.

Nick, that is the truth and I must admit I am shocked.
It is one thing to say, as Cruz does, that Trump should not be ignored or criticized, but to openly support and defend some of Trumps mistakes is unexpected from the Vet.

Why then, is Sarah Palin four square for Trump, said "Thank God he's running!" because if anyone is the Dolly Madison of the Tea Party, it is Sarah Palin, true?

Thanks. I am not worried.
To: Erik Latranyi
Did I say anything about a “better candidate?” Did I type the words “endorse a candidate?”
I said “plan” if you care to even look at what you excepted from my post.
It seems here that it is not I whose ‘judgment is so clouded....”
You know, I get that you hate Trump. That’s okay. I don’t hate him. I don’t even hate Walker although I don’t much like some of the fence jumping he’s done on illegals, pathways and ‘amnesty’. The only candidate I’ll come right out and say I hate is Jeb Bush - immensely, and he’s the one I’ll actively work to defeat.

See my post #72, we’re not as much in disagreement as you might think. I can’t go inside Trump’s mind to discern why he chose to attack Walker on taxes, but if he gets results with that tactic, who is going to say it was the wrong one to use?
It’s kinda like Chuck Wepner taking on Muhammad Ali, he kept slugging away, over and over, and while Ali eventually prevailed, Wepner knocked Ali on his ass in a most infamous moment for the champ.

Ok, so hypothetically Erik, if you woke up tomorrow morning to discover that you were Scott Walker's campaign manager, what would you advise him to do, to pull away from the pack, make Donald Trump an insignificant factor, and never look back? Walker needs to appear like the thoughtful, reasoned governor he is known to be. Walker never rammed anything down Wisconsin's throat without fully explaining it and bringing people along.
No, Walker does not breathe fire and get the attention, like Trump does.
But Walker also never apologizes for being a conservative or for implementing conservatism.
Throughout his recall, Walker never retreated from his conservative values or policies.
So, Walker needs to do that here. He was leading the pack and is still in the top tier behind Trump.
Walker should just keep talking reasonably about conservatism and why it is the right policy for the US.
Before long, Trump will be seen as a jester who is annoying and the people will get serious.
