"Conservative" in the U.S. is a political and legal worldview involving constitutional principals, and protecting rights. It is not some moralistic lifestyle choice. You don't get to just make up definitions.

I don’t know about that.
I grew up with ‘gay’ meaning, carefree, happy, exciting - (Get a laugh out of those 40’s/50’s movies where someone declares “I feel so Gay tonight”)
Also the D were the red states till we woke up one morning and WE were considered the red states (some Lib was ‘smart enough’ to figure Red went Commie OR the Lib wasn’t smart enough at all, he heard Rush or some other R mention it)
If we - at 5 or 6 - would have drawn a picture of a gun we wouldn’t have been ostracized for the rest of our lives - IN FACT, if - at that age - You could have drawn what the least skeptic of people THOUGHT was a gun, they would have said you had a potential career as an artist.
Oh? Conservative principles aren’t derived from the basic morality of Judeo-Christiandom?
Fidelity isn’t part and parcel of Conservative thought? Loyalty? Respect?
I don’t know why half the people on this thread are even on a supposedly conservative website if you guys really believe that. But it does explain the situational ethics on display.
