You might be younger than me, but the original Washington Senators left in 1961 and became the Minnesota Twins. A few years later, the American league expanded and issued a new franchise in Washington who took the name Senators. They lasted for a while and then moved to Texas and became the Rangers. Now they have the team from Montreal.. We'll see how long that lasts.

I don't remember the Original Senators, but I do remember the "new" expansion team Senators, also when they became the Rangers. The current Nationals were formerly the Montreal Expos, they were the first MLB team in Canada.

That incarnation of the Senators was terrible, their last World Series, if I’m not mistaken, was 1933...

A few years later, the American league expanded and issued a new franchise in Washington who took the name Senators.

And that incarnation of the Senators was even worse...
