If I had to agree with Jonah and Georgie Will I would begin looking at my own beliefs.

Jonah’s commentaries as of late have become little more than a source of a good laugh.
Hey Jonah, I hear Sanders takes a shower once in a while. You forgot to mention that. Oh yes, and he eats.
Slipping there fella...

Nationalists? As I posted yesterday, here was George Orwell's take on nationalism vs. patriotism:
By "nationalism" I mean first of all the habit of assuming that human beings can be classified like insects and that whole blocks of millions or tens of millions of people can be confidently labelled "good" or "bad." But secondly -- and this is much more important -- I mean the habit of identifying oneself with a single nation or other unit, placing it beyond good and evil and recognizing no other duty than that of advancing its interests.
Nationalism is not to be confused with patriotism.
Both words are normally used in so vague a way that any definition is liable to be challenged, but one must draw a distinction between them, since two different and even opposing ideas are involved.
By "patriotism" I mean devotion to a particular place and a particular way of life, which one believes to be the best in the world but has no wish to force on other people. Patriotism is of its nature defensive, both militarily and culturally. Nationalism, on the other hand, is inseperable from the desire for power. The abiding purpose of every nationalist is to secure more power and more prestige, not for himself but for the nation or other unit in which he has chosen to sink his own individuality.

(Trump vs. Sanders would certainly be entertaining)

We spoke to each other about that word “nationalism” yesterday. Thanks for the repeat of Orwell’s words. That word is deliberately being used to marginalize Trump. He is a patriot, not a nationalist. Just how many pool boys and gardeners does Jonah need anyway? If it wasn’t for the hard-core conservative movement, he’d still be on the streets of NYC selling Dove bars.

Always have liked Mr. Goldberg. Never was aware that he was a fan of illegal immigration.

This is one of your dumber responses and that’s saying something.
To: skippyjonjones
What are you going to say when Trump is a Democrat again? You going to say I made up the fact you supported him?
To: nickcarraway
To: skippyjonjones
Do you have ANY proof he is a conservative, except for the media telling you?
To: nickcarraway
This deserves a bump after NH...
What is fascinating is that though Sanders and Trump couldnât be more different culturally, their programs overlap a great deal. âWhat right-wing people in this country would love is an open-border policy,â Sanders said recently. âBring in all kinds of people, work for $2 or $3 an hour, that would be great for them. I donât believe in that.â
Trump has said that thereâs little daylight between them on the issue of trade, while Sanders has praised Trumpâs favorable statements on single-payer health care.
The establishments of both parties have proved pitifully inept in fending off their respective nationalist and socialist insurgencies.
