Just mulling this over, but you know the supposed “gotcha” raise-your-hand question set Trump apart from every other politician immediately. I now think that visual hugely helped him because he stood out, was the only one who looked courageous enough to say, “No, I won’t play the game.” Had Cruz done that too, the whole dynamic would have changed.

The whole dynamic HAS changed.

If Cruz is as smart as I think he is, he knows he doesn't have the populist appeal to go to war with the party. Trump does.

He didn't have to raise his hand because he knew Trump is the guy, and he can get behind him.

Just where did Faux get off seeking a pledge to the Party when they are not the Party? Had Rinse Prius been there asking the question it might have made more sense.
