Because of you, it’s been another amazing week! We just wrapped up our #CruzCountry #CruzToVictory Bus Tour through seven southern states that will play a huge role in making Ted our Republican nominee for President in 2016:
Coming off of the recent Republican Presidential debate, the wind was at our backs. A recent NBC poll ran after the debate and released Sunday morning showed that Ted had jumped up to second place nationally:
But even I’ll admit, we were a little surprised at the receptions we received throughout the tour. From the debate stage in Ohio to South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Oklahoma, at stop after stop, we had to move our events from inside to outside in fields and parking lots to accommodate the crowds of courageous conservatives that turned out to support Ted. Your showing of support was absolutely breathtaking — thank you:
The tour started in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, on Friday, August 7th and concluded on Thursday evening in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where the atmosphere was absolutely electric. And the results were clear — the southern states that account for 356 of the 1,236 delegates needed to clinch the Republican nomination for President — the so-called “SEC” Primary states, are #CruzCountry. We look forward to continuing to build on our strong presence there to ensure we compete and win in the South!
One of the stops turned unusually personally along the way — I wanted to share the story with you. In Murfreesboro, Tennessee earlier this week, we had an unexpected and special guest — Pastor Gaylon Wiley. Many years ago, Pastor Wiley help lead Ted’s father, Rafael, to Jesus and baptized Ted when he was just eight years old. They hadn’t seen each other in years, and it was truly touching to witness the two of them reuniting. You can read about it here.
As a reminder, we are less than one week away from our Rally for Religious Liberty in Des Moines, Iowa that will have special appearances from the Newsboys as well as the Bontrager Family Singers. You won’t want to miss it — click here to RSVP to join us! If you or your church would like to host a viewing party, you may sign up for the live stream here.
My nephew dropped out of medical school. He did fine with the things like anatomy and biology etc but there were all kinds of requirements for him to volunteer with gay and lesbian clubs etc.
He tells me “Don’t get sick, but if you need any advice about anal sex I know more than I ever wanted to know.”
The H1-B visa program was never supposed to do this.
Ask the Disney IT workers how it's going for them.
Apparently, Cruz wants 500% more opportunities for US citizens to retrain foreign workers to leave Americans unemployed.
I just finished reading Sen Cruz’s book, and I am sold on him. He’s a Ronald Reagan admirer, and wants to follow in his footsteps.
I have also met him (at Second Amendment Day at our state capitol in Austin,) and had a very nice conversation with him, where he answered all of my questions. I believe he’s the real deal and will certainly vote for him if I get the chance.
His book is called Reigniting The Promise of America. I downloaded it on my IPad.
Using the most common definition of STEM jobs, total STEM employment in 2012 was 5.3 million workers (immigrant and native), but there are 12.1 million STEM degree holders (immigrant and native).
Only one-third of native-born Americans with an undergraduate STEM degree holding a job actually work in a STEM occupation.
There are more than five million native-born Americans with STEM undergraduate degrees working in non-STEM occupations: 1.5 million with engineering degrees, half a million with technology degrees, 400,000 with math degrees, and 2.6 million with science degrees.
An additional 1.2 million natives with STEM degrees are not working unemployed or out of the labor force in 2012.
Despite the economic downturn, Census Bureau data show that, between 2007 and 2012, about 700,000 new immigrants who have STEM degrees were allowed to settle in the country, yet at the same time, total STEM employment grew by only about 500,000.
Of these new immigrants with STEM degrees, only a little more than a third took a STEM job and about the same share took a non-STEM job. The rest were not working in 2012.
Overall, less than half of immigrants with STEM degrees work in STEM jobs. In particular, just 23 percent of all immigrants with engineering degrees work as engineers.
In total, 1.6 million immigrants with STEM degrees worked outside of a STEM field and 563,000 were not working.
The supply of STEM workers is not just limited to those with STEM degrees. Nearly one-third of the nation's STEM workers do not have an undergraduate STEM degree.
Wage trends are one of the best measures of labor demand. If STEM workers are in short supply, wages should be increasing rapidly. But wage data from multiple sources show little growth over the last 12 years.
Real hourly wages (adjusted for inflation) grew on average just 0.7 percent a year from 2000 to 2012 for STEM workers, and annual wages grew even less 0.4 percent a year. Wage growth is very modest for most subcategories of engineers and technology workers.
Which would you rather have? low skill scum suckers or ones who will actually contribute?
Immigrants use the welfare system to a greater degree than the native born. And 20% of immigrant headed household don't even have a high school degree. We are importing poverty.
It’s beyond belief they are that focused on gay sex. I understand needing to be aware of the problems that occur medically. .but the rest? What crap. In med school. God help us.
Ahem, that was back in July.

That’s from today.
I do, and I believe that is exactly what he meant.
Cruz is the conservative choice. Trump is just making noise.
I posit it is folks like you who are viewing the world in terms of hero worship.
God’s attitude is different.
Look, by the way, at what Cruz actually says about Trump. None of this “it’s mere noise” belittlement. To him, Trump support is Exhibit A for why we need a certain course of action.
"Hero worship" is a term that could more appropriately be used to describe the average Trump supporter.
Do you, too, believe lifelong liberal Donald Trump is better than President Reagan?
Yes, a Trump worshiper said that.
Has anybody dubbed his tour "The Cruzades" yet?
He has some features that are excellent that look like they dovetail with what is absolutely necessary.
Does that make him worth worship? No. But neither does it position him for sneering. Cruz refuses to sneer at him. How about taking a lesson from YOUR “hero.”
And I am not running so I need not worry about playing nice to liberal Donald Trump. Cruz is running and I believe he plays nice because he is nice and because he may want Trump to endorse him.
That is excellent information, there.
And so why treat everyone who advocates treating the Trump phenomenon with respect (as unto a very movement of God) as though it were hero worship.
Is that what drives Cruz himself to speak of Trump the way he does?
