Billionaire businessman Donald Trump offered kids helicopter rides in a show of wealth as he bragged Saturday that he is willing to spend $1 billion on his presidential campaign.
"I'm turning down so much money," Trump said at a press conference kicking off his weekend trip to Iowa to visit the State Fair, with his black helicopter emblazoned with "Trump" and children standing in the background.
Trump touted turning down a $5 million donation offer this week before saying he would spend $1 billion on his 2016 Republican presidential bid "if I had to."
"Nobody else would do the job that I will do," Trump said, mentioning jobs, the military, care for veterans and the "catastrophe" of ObamaCare, which he said he would get rid of.
Trump whirled into the Iowa State Fair this weekend on his private helicopter, descending on a scene scouted out by many other presidential candidates from both parties.
Trump flew to Iowa on Saturday morning on his 757 after a rally in New Hampshire the previous night, before taking his helicopter from the airport toward the fair.
Trump said his campaign planned to put out position papers in the next few weeks, including one on taxes. The first, on immigration, is expected to come Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press."

The crowd around Trump’s helicopter was a reflection of Iowa, in the video that I saw. Largely white, but there were black children there for a helicopter ride as well. Not all blonde, not even half. You must be thinking of Minnesota.
Romney comes across like a guy that will have sex with his wife with his socks on, curtains drawn shut, lights out and covered by sheets......
and wearing his magic underwear!
“Is every kid in Iowa a blond?”
I wouldn’t know, but there are a lot of beautiful people there. Here’s a link to Mike and Eve Brafford dancing at their stand.

LOL!
Win or lose, students of political science will be analyzing and discussing the Trump campaign strategy for the next 200 years.
heh heh
Not exactly. A disproportionate number of more rural kids showing animals and close to them on the fairgrounds 24/7 would come from Scandinavian farmer stock, and might get inside info on when to line up for the ride.
A lot of paisanos actually live in the neighborhood around the fairgrounds.

Good. That means he has principles. Hillary will take money from any crook.
FRiends, I’m loving this. I don’t think anyone running can hold a candle to Trump. This is leadership and audacity.
I do wish he was more articulate and presented his ideas better.
I take nothing away from Ted Cruz but Trump is what we need I think.
I agree, when all else fails....
OK, I was wondering whether Trump said: I only want all-American kids, no paisans and NO MEXICANS!
All the kids I saw in the video were blond, that’s the only reason I wrote what I did. No big deal.
So well said!
“Oh my God he is indoctrinating our youth! Telling them America can be Great!?!
-—I’m sure the next round of Trump bashing from NRO, RedState, HotAir, FOX pundants, etc will be that Trump should be tried and shot for indoctrination of our youth lol
Doubtful she reads newspapers. She probably just texts others in her little liberal echo chamber.
Brilliant move, I must say. More free press. Hillary must have been seething.
Trump rode with the kids... That must have been cool for them
Glad to see the sarcasm tag. Trump’s gold-plated machines, as nice as they are, don’t measure up to Marine One or Air Force One. And while his crews are very good, I’m sure, they’re not as good as the cream of the U.S. military who operate the presidential aircraft. And that’s before you even start to discuss the highest possible level of security and communication equipment that is aboard.
I was standing right there, and I can tell you that they were very excited. Trump escorted them all aboard personally, with more than a hundred press cameras thirty feet away. Believe me, the whole thing was a political campaign tour de force.
On the fair grounds themselves, which were packed today because it was Saturday, with near-perfect weather, everyone was looking up and pointing and saying "There goes Trump." And we're talking probably at least a couple of hundred thousand Iowans.
Then when he went on the grounds himself, he was nearly crushed by the crowds around him for several hours. I'm talking like five thousand people at a time trying to get close enough to shake his hand and maybe get a picture taken with him.
By the way, I don't support Trump. I'm simply reporting what I saw.
Here's a couple of pics I snapped with my phone:
