This is the infamous exchange where Obama asked that incoming Russian President Putin be informed that Obama would have more flexibility after the 2012 election.

Of course some little things have gotten in the way since then - Crimea, Eastern Ukraine, shooting down Airliners, Syria ... just a few minor things but Russia has a great memory. So now lets see how flexible Obama is?!

Lawmakers have not yet voted on the Iran-nuclear deal, and according to House Majority Leader, Kevin McCarthy there is a possibility that there might be enough votes to override a veto. So, it is too soon for Russia to use the Iran-nuclear as the reason there is no need for anti-ballistic missile in Europe , not that it is a valid reason.
