5,000 of our best young Americans dead, tens of thousands with physical and psychological wounds, their families torn apart, over one trillion dollars spent, abandoned US equipment being used by ISIS, a hundred thousand Iraqi civilians dead, ISIS running much of Iraq, Iran running the rest. What an enormous accomplishment, Jeb.

No, it was a terrific move. We could never get al-Qaeda in Yemen, Morocco, Egypt, Sudan, and on and on. By forcing them to come to us, as I showed in my book "America's Victories," we took out 1/4 million terrorists out of the order of battle in about a four year period.

We had a solid base on BOTH sides of Iran---which will be sorely needed because eventually, mark my words, we will have to foment a revolution there and/or invade.

We had the war won. It was a done deal when ZEro came in. But Jeb is far too "kind" to show the folly of Zero's policy.

Reagan responsible for the Iraq war? What have you been smoking? Reagan left office In 1988; the first Iraq war was I 1991, the second in 2003 Go back to taking care of your radical groups, Mr. Soros.

And, as a Trump supporter, he was wrong on this. We had the game won in 2007-8 before Zero destroyed the victory.

I don’t really care about what ¡Yeb! thinks about Iraq.

What matters to me is that he wants to turn the USA into North Mexico.

Our treaty with Kuwait was responsible for their not having a military to block the Iraqi invasion. H.W. Bush didn’t negotiate that treaty, Reagan did. The treaty stipulated that if military defense of Kuwait was needed, we would provide that. The idea had been that fewer big armies would somehow make the middle east more stable.

You’re not very clear on this concept of diplomacy, are you?

There should never have been any “second war” and that falls squarely on H.W. Bush.

His kids have both been even worse militarily.

"Of course taking out Saddam was the right thing to do"

The Christians, Jews and others being executed for being Christian, Jewish or some other non-approved theology disagree with you.

Taking out Saddam destabilized the entire region and unleashed Jihad in Middle East, North, Central Africa and on the West. This is W legacy. Saddam was in a box going nowhere. W put family business ahead of the nation business, that is an unforgivable transgression.

"That produced a stable Iraq that was well on its way to becoming a bulwark against Iran.

You are living in a dream world and trying to rewrite history.

Your are on the right trial but your facts are incorrect, from Wiki

In an effort to prop up the value of the dollar, Richard Nixon negotiated a deal with Saudi Arabia that in exchange for arms and protection they would denominate all future oil sales in U.S. dollars

We were primarily defending Saudi Arabia, Kuwait being a client state of Saudi Arabia and it was Nixon that made the "deal" not Reagan.

I remember the US asking Kuwait for permission to base equipment on Kuwait soil and Kuwait denying the request. That forced us to bring in huge barges to base the equipment on. So I was pissed when we came to their rescue. But it was Kuwait we were rescuing is was the House of Saud which was Sadams' next target.

Never heard that one

Doubtful

What wars were going on that Jebster was supposed to go fight?
Bush 43 was in Guard when Vietnam was already in drawdown and pilots not needed
Bush41 was a Ww2 naval,aviator

Sounds like typical DU stuff

One of the reasons it failed is that, after we pushed ISIS out of Iraq into Syria, we withdrew, left a billion dollars in arms and equipment near the border, and then sent arms to ISIS. A recipe to destroy hope for democracy and inviting ISIS back in.

These days, I am thinking we were wrong all the way back to the First Gulf War. We should have let Saddam have Kuwait (after all, that stupid ambassadorette originally gave him the go-ahead), encouraged him to further oppose the Iranians, and told the Saudis to go to Hell.
