What I find interesting in the Hillary email investigation is that there’s little talk of backup tapes or drives. Having worked in the IT industry, geeks are all about keeping archived data. You never know when someone is going to ask for a record of sale or other important data because of a law suit.

Also, email servers are not independent machines sitting off in a corner by themselves. They’re networked, obviously, and the exchange of data is also recorded on other email servers. Somewhere there might be an incoming POP3 email server with a classified Clinton email message on it (but of course, not all of her emails).

I would think she would keep a copy of all data on the server somewhere for her own historical record when she writes her memoirs.
