Jews who do not recognize those who are their enemies must depend on those smarter than they to ID their enemies for them.
Jimmy Carter was the enemy of Israel and Jews - and the “most dismal of Democrats” did it for Arab money.
My childhood pediatrician summed up Jimmy when ‘PeaNUT Man’ was still a candidate: “He will prove to be a disaster for America and a disgrace to his church”.

Imagine what the posts would look like at a typical Democrat or leftist website if G.W. Bush had the same diagnosis. The site would be filled with cackling vitriol and cursing.
A long time ago, I was raised by good New York liberals, and they tried their best to keep their little boy in the club. The core of my disenchantment with the left started when I saw the glee with which they would defame the opposition, and the lack of such among conservatives and Christians. I see that moral attitude here with the announcement of Carter’s diagnosis. By their fruits you shall know them, indeed.
I feel for him and his family. He will die a long and suffering death and that’s sad. I do hope he’s right with God and I hope he wakes up and sees where he’s been wrong on Israel.
With all that said, I strongly dislike the guy. But he’s nowhere near as high on the list as a few others.

Been there, seen that. e.g., Tony Snow at the dummie sites.
Tears in my eyes. I can’t watch the whole video but I saw the part you’re speaking of. People pulling over on the freeway and getting out of their cars. So touching.
One time the brand new president Obama was to land at Long Beach airport and take a caravan of vehicles south to san Diego or Orange County. A bunch of people were so excited to hang over the overpass there near the airport with huge signs for him. Five giant military choppers took off from the airport heading south but not one Obama fan even turned their heads from staring at the freeway below. It was so telling.
I need to amend my comments regarding Carter and the Shah.

In my high school newspaper (I was the editor of it in 1976), I wrote after the election that Carter will do a good job and I have high hopes uniting the USA. In 1980, I walked out of my poliSci class when the professors told us to vote for the re-election of Carter. (I failed the course, my PoliSci professor was a marxist and I told her that all the time)
Amazing how history, if one is honest, teaches us, isn’t it?
The only thing that may surpass that truth, in my view, is how QUICKLY history is forgotten and the lessons have to be learned anew. Sometimes at great cost.
