Try to keep in mind that the Republican Congress which we all voted in last Fall has announced it will not be defunding Planned Parenthood anytime soon. Not any of it.

Trump would get rid of the funding for the abortion part. So if you are dissing on him then double diss the Republican party who profess to be a bunch of conservatives.

See? Why are you getting so defensive as though Trump were your relative or something?

I’ve spent weeks laying out the facts about Trump’s history, and I’m not the only one. But Trump fans stick their fingers in their ears, squeeze their eyes shut, and hum loudly.

I’ve been telling you folks how Trump went on “Morning Joe” two weeks ago and admitted he’s a Democrat in many ways, and I have yet to get a single response. You just don’t want to know, or you don’t care.

Hell, I’ve had two Trump supporters tell me they’re past caring who’s more conservative and who isn’t. One of them today said he believes it’s time to ditch the Constitution and install Trump as a dictator.

Yes. You’re reading that right.

I’m not “projecting” anything onto your boy Trump. I’ve read about him and researched him. My question to you is this-—if you’re thinking of supporting him, why haven’t YOU done that?

“The abortion aspect of it should not be funded” ...by taxpayers

What did I miss?

I’d fund breast exams, pap smears, cancer, etc...

First of all - shut up. I will support who I want. I haven’t made a decision yet -it’s too early. So, you support who you want, and I’ll do the same. I, too, have spent lots of time in research on the candidates, and I may or may not come to the same conclusions.

It's hard to grasp that we have been forced by our elected representatives to pay for this pure evil.

The Washington Cartel MUST be overthrown!

You’re missing how budgets work. If you give them money for cancer and exams, that frees up money in their budget that they would spend on these things to be spent on abortions.

We also know Trump by what he’s said, written, and done over his lifetime. Most of what he’s written, said, and done has been very liberal, right up until he decided to run for office in 2011. Now all of a sudden he claims to not support any of those things (aside from socialized medicine which he still likes but says he won’t implement).

Trump wasn’t born yesterday. He has a record, and that record is liberal. Watch any interview before he decided he needed the Republicans to get elected or read anything he wrote before 2011. Pro-abortion, anti-gun, pro-higher taxes, pro-socialized medicine, anti-private property rights, pro-bribery, pro-Clinton, anti-Reagan, anti-Iraq War, pro-Bush impeachment for war, pro-Rahm, pro-liberalism.

Earmark the budget. That does happen in granted money.

15 million bucks to operate on is going to cut staff and locations down to what?

Well, they operate with $1 billion and 700 locations presently.

Lets cut that down by 50% when they lose $500 million taxpayer dollars.

Now, because of how operational dollars work, staffing, supplies and costs for locations works but, importantly, how greed also works, then we can assume the leadership won’t take a haircut but, staff, doctors and suppliers will.

They will keep their $300k per year salaries and other beneifts, attrite just 10% of leadership and reduce their operations by another 50%.

Don’t forget their advertising will be reduced to zero.

This assumes they don’t file bankruptcy, which is more likely after losing 50% of revenue in only one year, most businesses will be forced to close because they may have immediate cash flow issues but the larger issue they won’t be able to manage is long term debt and their creditors will force them to close, since they won’t ever see the monies loaned.

After that, they are in the dustbin of history.

It is mathematically impossible to continue with an instant cut of revenues that size.

BTW, it is currently against the law for taxpayer monies to be used for abortions but, I don’t think they have been audited.

Why? They skirt the allocation by calling them “medical procedures and necessary for a woman’s health”.

An audit would give truth to the lie.

Sigh - because PP and its supporters think they can make some hay that is beneficial to them, they skew and reinterpret his words and implied intent of the words so it sounds like he’s favorable to them and some folks can’t help but dive into the gaping maw of their attempt. Better to just say you don’t like Trump than try to ride the meme of the real enemies to “justify your doubts/concerns”.

Trump would get rid of the funding for the abortion part.

Then you support the current policy and you should have no beef with the Republican Congress or even the Democrats. You apparently did not read my original comments where this was already addressed, or any other of the numerous threads over the years in which this cop-out argument has been used by Planned Parenthood and the Democrats for years to justify the continued funding of this evil organization. There is no "abortion part." This is a cop out talking out of both sides of his mouth trying to have it both ways.

No matter what Trump wants Boehner and McConnell are going to fund Planned Parenthood en toto as long as they are in power.

IMO Trump (smartly) is already looking past the primaries and to the general election. He needs to get elected in order to make America great again. Something McStain and Mittens could not do. He’d like to get the women’s vote and peel off as many Dems and Indies as possible.

Most voters are not nearly as conservative as the 60,000 or so people who inhabit FR. Most of my Republican friends are not as rabidly conservative as me or you.

I want Trump in the Whitehouse however he has to get there. I want him building a wall, I want him re-negotiating every one of these POS trade deals like NAFTA, I want the tax code changed and the pipeline deal approved.

Trump will be lucky as President if he can even get Boehner and Mitch to defund the abortion part of PP.
