One week after calling for a government shutdown if necessary to defund Planned Parenthood, presidential candidate Donald Trump has expressed willingness to let the abortion giant receive federal tax dollars for non-abortion services, Breitbart reports.
In an interview with CNNs Chris Cuomo, Trump said Planned Parenthood is like an abortion factory, frankly and professed to feel strongly about cutting off government funding for abortion. But he went on to say that as president he would look at the individual things they do Im sure they do some things properly and good and that are good for women, because we have to take care of women.
In addition, Trump reiterated his opposition to elective abortion, but clarified that he supports exceptions for rape, incest, and in life of the mother cases.
Breitbarts John Nolte criticized Trump as accepting a status quo many conservatives find unacceptable and immoral; also a typical federal government shell game to skirt around the law. He noted that If you give Planned Parenthood money for these so-called other things, the abortion provider can shift money from those other things to abortion.
Live Action News has previously reported that Donald Trump described himself as very pro-choice in every respect, including support for partial-birth abortion, in 1999, but in 2011 claimed to have became pro-life after seeing friends grow to love a child they had initially considered aborting, an anecdote he reiterated in last weeks presidential debate.
Nor does the governmment have any "bizness propping up organizations" that simply launder taxpayer money on its way to the Democrat party.
Trump, like Schwarzenegger, has zero political principle. However, like Arnold, he is, I believe, a patriot, he is sincere, and he has a gifted knack as entertainer/showman to reflect to people what rouses them emotionally -- politically incorrect brassiness that sounds conservative on the surface and which is gratifies folks angry with the status quo; Trump looks to them like he's "taking it to them" for the little guy.
Because Trump has no essential political compass, it's easy for people to project their own political assumptions and principles on Trump, like I know I did on Schwarzenegger, for whom I voted with enthusiasm, naïve in retrospect.
It's kinda hard to project political assumptions on a guy like Cruz, whose standards are the constitution, limited government, Christian conservatism. Just knowing that a guy embraces limited government principle, means you know where he stands on a whole slew of issues.
Trump has zero political principle, so where he stands on any given issue is a crap shoot.
Vote for him at your own risk, and see my tagline. :^)
But certainly the abortion aspect of it should not be funded by government, absolutely.
Thanks for honoring me with the re-post, C!
"Donald is just alright with me, Donald is just alright, oh yeah
Donald is just alright with me, Donald is just alright
I don't care what they may know
I don't care where they may go
I don't care what they may know"
as sung by the Meshuge Brothers
I wonder if he would bolt to the Democrap party if given the perfect opportunity.
Hillarys Servers been seized by the FBI...so she’s about done....
Would it be terribly un-Christian of me to suggest a few pin placements?
;)
Where, on DU?
when He becomes President.....I will gladly meet with him to discuss his IRS issues
No. Right here.
I’m wondering if trump is going for some of the feminist vote.
If Trump continues making pro-abortion statements,
Trump is blowing it.
Instead, he should be the one on top of this EPA debacle in Colorado, that was a missed opportunity.
Giving ANY money to PP is a pro-abortion act, because money is fungible.
You think he could make a donation to the Nazi Party or the KKK, and get away with saying: “I gave it to that soup kitchen they run”?
Any way the wind blows huh Donald?
