Firestorm erupts over Trump's 'Bible connection'
WND ^ | Joe Kovacs

Posted on 08/11/2015 10:43:47 AM PDT by RoosterRedux

A Christian minister in Florida has ignited a firestorm over his suggestion that God is using Donald Trump as a divine instrument in the 2016 presidential election cycle.

In a column published in Charisma magazine, Jeremiah Johnson of Behold the Man Ministries in Lakeland, Florida, said he was praying several weeks ago “when God began to speak to me concerning the destiny of Donald Trump in America:”

The Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, “Trump shall become My trumpet to the American people, for he possesses qualities that are even hard to find in My people these days. Trump does not fear man nor will he allow deception and lies to go unnoticed. I am going to use him to expose darkness and perversion in America like never before, but you must understand that he is like a bull in a china closet.

Many will want to throw him away because he will disturb their sense of peace and tranquility, but you must listen through the bantering to discover the truth that I will speak through him. I will use the wealth that I have given him to expose and launch investigations searching for the truth. Just as I raised up Cyrus to fulfill My purposes and plans, so have I raised up Trump to fulfill my purposes and plans prior to the 2016 election.

You must listen to the trumpet very closely for he will sound the alarm and many will be blessed because of his compassion and mercy. Though many see the outward pride and arrogance, I have given him the tender heart of a father that wants to lend a helping hand to the poor and the needy, to the foreigner and the stranger.”

“” Trump replied, “I’m not sure I have ever asked God’s forgiveness. I don’t bring God into that picture.”

Trump clarified further about forgiveness in the church setting saying, “When I go to church and when I drink my little wine and have my little cracker, I guess that is a form of forgiveness. I do that as often as I can because I feel cleansed. I say let’s go on and let’s make it right,” declared Trump””

I have not seen where Trump said he just forgives himself. But he did say he does not ask God for forgiveness.

It was in the same interview/event where Trump said, "When we go into church — and when I drink my little wine, which is about the only wine I drink, and have my little cracker — I guess that is a form of asking for forgiveness. I do that as often as possible because I feel cleansed, OK?"

Wow.

I’m a born-again Spirit-filled believer and have wondered sometimes why I love Trump so much. I don’t agree with his tariff economic “solutions” and wonder about his stand on certain other things, but Trump is a weapon in the culture war as much as the political war. His hatred of and attack on political correctness (the disguised spirit of anti-Christ) is a welcome relief.

You know, God can use anyone. The lesson in Daniel is God, not man, raises up and takes down kings and kingdoms. God used Nebuchadnezzar BEFORE Nebuchadnezzar came to believe. I believe Trump in the same way will become a believer (but I hope he doesn’t have to go insane to get there).

There was an article a few weeks back about this topic: http://www.cnn.com/2015/07/18/politics/trump-has-never-sought-forgiveness/

The exact comment that people refer to was this bit:
Moderator Frank Luntz asked Trump whether he has ever asked God for forgiveness for his actions. "I am not sure I have. I just go on and try to do a better job from there. I don't think so," he said. "I think if I do something wrong, I think, I just try and make it right. I don't bring God into that picture. I don't."

Yeah, cause Trump's big message is help for the foreigner. LOL

Do not bash Freepers for believing in God.
that'll be next.

people have given up their views on abortion so they could remain devoted to trump. people have given up their views on gay marriage so they could remain devoted to trump. people have given up their views on gun control so they could remain devoted to trump. denying God so they could remain devoted to donald trump is simply the next link in the chain

God cannot be too pleased with US if He is picking our presidents. But I do have to smile over this ‘trump’ analogy given how Trump is ticking off all the bad people. Thing of it is there are 7 trumps, wonder which trump, Trump is suppose to sound?

this is hilarious. Look for the goober Huckster to step up his hype soon, for fear of not being able to pull the Evangelical vote away to win South Carolina for Bush, as he did with McCain.

Problem is not WND, it is Jeremiah Johnson -—

“for he possesses qualities that are even hard to find in My people these days.”

I guess JJ means desirable qualities that Christians are lacking. Disagree. Christians generally will not be bombastic .... But many agree with Trump’s true statements: Border is a joke, Mexico sends rapists, China is beating us, PC is killing us, etc.

Trump has money and a podium. Most of God’s people do not.

Some TV preachers do, but you notice I did not call them God’s people.

″As I prayed, I immediately received a vision of large demonic spirits with enormous wings flying inside of the building. They were laughing hysterically and claiming victory over the territory. It literally sent chills up my spine. I inquired of the Lord as to what happened in the past and He quickly answered me and said, “Go to Nehemiah 6:9″.
