Like Huckabee has said before, it helps having a Southern accent when compaigning in the South, or someone they can identify with. To me that rules out big government RINO Bush, and the rest of the establishment RINOs, which certainly includes Kasich. You can’t be more of a Washington insider than John Kasich. He minimized the Supreme Court ruling on homosexual marriage the first time it was mentioned to him. Saying “I believe in traditional marriage, but the Supreme Court has spoken and its the law of the land and we need to move on”. Showed no animosity to the ruling whatsoever. This will gain him many votes in the South. The Bible Belt wants someone who will fight for what’s right and wrong and with Kasich, the ultimate GOPe insider, you’re not going to get it. Same thing with Bush. Both talks to much like a democrat, lifting up the people on the margins of society. I read an article yesterday that asked the question is Kasich the Pope Francis of American politics. Lord.

Look, I'm here in OH suffering from Kasich's "miracle economy". Billions of dollars sit in the state treasury waiting for the next ridiculous corporate donor construction scheme. Meanwhile, communities where most people actually live are being starved of the money needed for basic services. A few weeks ago there was a horrific murder of a woman in a "safe" town by an invader who the feds should've had off the streets, and Kasich said nothing. He is not opposed to the invasion of the US, as near as I can figure.

I'm not disputing any of the things people bring up about Kasich. I'm saying that he's a terrific campaigner, and he seems to perk up when there's a challenge. He could easily be the last one standing when Jeb and the Jebster type candidates are driven out of the race.
