Germany is again agitating for other European countries to take what they believe to be their fair share of refugees coming to the continent with a stark warning that failing to do so could see the collapse of the EU.
Vice Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel made the remarks on Monday, reiterating the frequently made claim that some nations take a heavier than necessary burden, and others have an unarguable responsibility to get involved. Conveniently ignoring the fact that right-wing nation Hungary takes the highest number of migrants per capita in Europe, Gabriel said: Germany, Sweden, and Austria take on most of the refugees. On the other hand, there are countries that take no, or very few, refugees. But we need a fair balancing.
Taking aim at those further down the order of asylum applications (no doubt including direct neighbours Poland and the Czech Republic, over whom Germany takes 25 times more migrants per capita), Gabriel went on to give a dire prediction: Some of the EU states think of Europe just as some kind of profiteering community, where you only co-operate if theres money. And where you jump out when its about responsibility.
People who behave like that will destroy Europe, reports TheLocal.de.

Perhaps the Germans should stop taking “immigrants” and “refugees” instead of telling others what they must do?

Bureau of Labor Statistics |
See above or BLS for list of tables. These tables were obtained here: go to Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) Labor Force Statistics from the Current Population Survey (CPS). Requires Java. Make your selections. I asked for quarterly data and took the fourth (or last available) quarter annualized data from each table and combined them into the table above. |
These are federal government statistics.
They should be current for years 2007 through 2014
The second quarter of 2015 is used for 2015
Notice that Employed full time did not recover to 2007 level until 2015
Notice that more foreign born got jobs than native born.
Notice the Not in labor force numbers.
The Not in labor force numbers should include native born and legal residents
A million green cards are handed out annually do they all get jobs or taxpayer support? see:

I really do think a decision to deconstruct Western civilization has been made at the highest levels of Government (UN, EU and now the US). Frankly, the underlying reason for this is kind of a mystery as it will only lead to the entire world being one big Third world crap-hole. But it will result in cheap labor and lots & lots of available domestic health.
At the end of the day, the Elites figure they will stay elite no matter what condition their countries are in.
Who else is going to support Europe’s pensioners?
domestic help, not health. Sigh....
Exactly.
If it's anything like our legal immigrants (green cards) they will bring their own "pensioners" who need their support.
[quote from Sen Sessions' report]
The most significant of all immigration documents issued by the U.S. is, by far, the green card. When a foreign citizen is issued a green card it guarantees them the following benefits inside the United States:
Under current federal policy, the U.S. issues green cards to approximately 1 million new Lawful Permanent Residents (LPRs) every single year. [end quote]
Thanks, that’s informative.
No. Taking in millions of non-productive and hostile individuals will destroy Europe.
So when Cruz says he’d legalize the 11 (we know it’s at least 30) million illegals in the US, but not give them citizenship, he’d presumably be giving them welfare, social security, Medicare, and the right to bring in their family members, including elderly relatives.
Right?
No He would give them work permits allowing them to work and be able to to be tracked and deported if they break the law
Look at the way Eisenhower solved a similar problem in the 1950’s Cruz wants to do the same thing
Has he said he’d make them illegible for green cards? All I’ve seen is that he wouldn’t give them citizenship.
Senator Sessions explains it.

Seems to me that if it's regular green cards.. they get everything citizens have just like I posted above. That is not just my opinion. It's from Senator Sessions --
and if you read his report you will see the countries with the most legal immigrants here are also the countries with the most ILLEGAL aliens here.
Do you have a source on that—or is that just what you’ve read into his comments?
" . . . on June 17, 1954, what was called "Operation Wetback" began . . . in California and Arizona, the roundup of aliens began . . . Some 750 agents swept northward through agricultural areas with a goal of 1,000 apprehensions a day. By the end of July, over 50,000 aliens were caught in the two states. Another 488,000, fearing arrest, had fled the country . . . crackdown extended northward into Utah, Nevada, and Idaho, and eastward to Texas . . . By September, 80,000 had been taken into custody in Texas, and an estimated 500,000 to 700,000 illegals had left the Lone Star State voluntarily. Unlike today, Mexicans caught in the roundup were not simply released at the border, where they could easily reenter the US. To discourage their return, [Operation Wetback] arranged for buses and trains to take many aliens deep within Mexico before being set free."

That's more like what I remember of Ike's Administration.
