There are booths trolling for people to apply for SNAP at our local Farmer’s Markets. Maybe I haven’t been there at the right time, but so far, I haven’t seen anyone signing up to get on the government dole there.
I haven’t seen anyone either. The people on SNAP just don’t know anything about farmer’s markets. You’d have to bus them there and even then with the exception of maybe corn, I’d doubt they’d be interested in kale and beets. Heck, I have to force myself to buy them!
