Some muzzie testing the throat slitting knife sharpness.
He stabbed three stores?? Oh the humanity.
Police have confirmed that the first two victims, a man and a woman, knew each other, but refused to comment further on their relationship or whether they knew their attacker.
Well, of course, if it WAS a muzzie, we will never hear about it.
Mattias Johansson, department store manager at IKEA Vasteras said the victims appeared to be 'three seemingly ordinary visitors'.
Give me an ‘M’....give me a ‘U’.....give me an ‘S’..........(you can fill in the rest)
Can’t be. They love rusty old, dull knives for longevity of the killing.
Have you ever put together any of their furniture? I can see why someone would want to stab them;)
Seriously, don't editors go to school?
Sounds like they are expecting more.
My first thought was, “Is his name Muhammed?”
My first thought was to wonder what the attacker’s last name was. It never crossed my mind to wonder about the first name, other than what spelling variant was used.
Actually, Ikea furniture assembly is the best I have ever tried. Check out some of the Chinese products of you want assembly hell.
That said, I’m sure these “ordinary shoppers” were probably Muslims. There’s been a lot Muslim terrorist activity in the last few days although I don’t know why. Are they celebrating some Muslim holiday in their usual charming way?
Ban the knife. After all, knives kill people. And you only really need a knife to cut meat. Go vegan!
The local police held a press conference at police station in Västerås. Where it was announced that two men arrested on suspicion of murder. One of the suspects is the 35-year-old man who had surgery during the day.The other suspect is the man, born in 1992, was arrested after the incident.
- It's a crazy event. As far as we know, did not know the victims and the suspects each other previously, says Per Agren, commanding chief.
The arrested men are 20 and 35 years. -35-Year-old on suspicion of murder, says Ågren. None of the men will be known by the police earlier. But they know each other.
The police can not say anything about the reasons for the knife attack, no more than that the victims appear random.
The police have found the murder weapon and the whole attack may have been caught in one of Ikea's surveillance cameras.
The cause of the murder suspect's injuries? -Yes, We have no indication of how he got them. We do not believe that it is the victims who made them, 'says Ågren."

"Fredrik Pikkuaho had just come out of the Ikea house when the guards arrived and the staff turned off the store.- I saw the cops come running towards a man who was waiting in a bus shelter. The arrest went really fast, the man did not resist, but was loud. He is perhaps 30-40 years."

"Several hours after the attack, in which a third shopper was seriously injured, police had yet to release any details about the suspected attacker's identity or motive. There was no indication the attack was terrorism-related. Swedish intelligence agency Sapo told AFP it had not been called in on the case. The suspect was not known to police and did not have a criminal record, a police spokesman for the Vastmanland region, Per Stromback, told the regional VLT paper."
A shaky video clip filmed by a passerby that was published on VLT's website showed police arresting the suspect at a bus stop outside Ikea.
"I saw police come running toward a man standing and waiting at the bus stop. The arrest happened really fast, the man didn't put up a fight but he was loud. He was maybe 30 or 40 years old," Fredrik Pikkuaho, who filmed the clip, told VLT.
Police can be see pushing the man to the ground but the suspect's face cannot be seen clearly.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"All of the victims were known to each other and had been shopping together."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"It was not clear what sparked the slaughter, which happened around 1 p.m. local time. But the suspected stabber was captured immediately after the attack and was described by VLT as known to the police from before.Police did not release his name.
The victims were reportedly a 25-year-old man and a woman, both of them regular customers at the store. The survivor was a 35-year-old man and he was being treated for knife wounds at Vasteras Central Hospital, officials said.
He has come in from the accident site badly damaged and has life-threatening injuries, nurse Lena Moren told Swedish media. The man is in emergency surgery right now. IKEA flack Daniela Rogosic said they were still in the dark about what happened.
We dont have the complete picture yet, but what we know right now is that none of our staff are among the injured, she said. For now we're focusing on our staff members and customers and are directing all questions to the police, who are investigating at the scene. Vasteras is about 60 miles west of Stockholm.

FWIW...a comment at UKDailyMail -
"the southern parts of Stockholm (Botkyrka and Bargamossen), Goteborg (Biskipsgaarden) and Malmo (Risengaard) have problems. In fact the Municipality of Malmo has officially taken away the name of "Rosengaard". It is now included in "Malmo South". BUT, this was in Västerås! Which, on the other hand is known for 2 rival motorcycle gangs."

Three people were stabbed at an IKEA warehouse in Västerås, SwedenOne man and one woman died after the lunch-time attack on Monday
The third victim, a man in his mid-30s, suffered life-threatening injuries
Police have confirmed that the first two victims, a man and a woman, knew each other, but refused to comment further on their relationship or whether they knew their attacker.
The police said they had taken a man into custody suspected of murder, and the IKEA store and a connected shopping centre has been cordoned off.
Something hinky with this story. The injured suspect sustained deep stab wounds and has undergone two operations. He sounds more like a victim than a perp. Also the other suspect should logically have been covered in blood when he was taken into custody at a bus stop outside the store. But there is no sign of that; plus he asserted his innocence. How do you say “I’m the patsy” in Eritrean?
The day of the murders took place, he was at a meeting with the Swedish Migration Board.
He had been turned on its application for a residence permit on 16 July. The Authority's decisions were. "Immediate deportation to Italy."
According to the data searched 35-year-old residence in November 2013, but was rejected. He departed in January 2014, and sought a new residence permit in May this year and was rejected on 16 July.
>b>He was deported to Italy because he has a residence there. In Monday he was at the meeting at the Migration Board, concerning the rejection. The trip would take place shortly.
35-year-old injured himself hard in the relationships with the attack at Ikea.
Police would not comment on details of the rejection. That's part of the puzzle surrounding the perpetrators and we can not comment on the individual parts, says Per Agren, commanding chief.
Was there new information for you? - As said. There is nothing I can comment.
Police say they have gotten a better picture of the sequence of events when the 55-year-old woman and her 28-year-old son stabbed down. -We Get more understanding of each moment that goes but we are far from not wanting to have more knowledge. All the people we want to talk to are not heard. And not only the killing of interest, it can also be other observations
According to data of the VLT should be 35-year-old being cared for at the hospital soon to be heard. Perhaps as early as Wednesday evening.

"The main suspects 35-year-old would be rejected with immediate effect from Sweden.Just hours before Ikea murders he had been at the meeting - to dismiss the case.
- He met with our staff during the morning, says Fredrik Bengtsson, Head of the Migration Board.
35-year-old has been arrested on probable cause of the knife murder of a mother and her adult son at Ikea in Vasteras. A 23-year-old is arrested on the lower degree of suspicion.
Visited the Migration Board
Several people who lived in the same asylum accommodation in Arboga has previously stated that the two men were at a meeting at the Swedish Migration Board in Vasteras.
The Swedish Migration Board judge that there was 35-year-old who visited Agency offices in Västerås Monday.
- The person was in our office in Västerås and was there in contact with staff from the Swedish Migration Board, says Fredrik Bengtsson.
There was a decision
He stated that the meeting considered the 35-year-old extradition.
- But what the meeting was about in detail is the secrecy surrounding, says Fredrik Bengtsson.
According to documents from the Migration Board had 35-year-old received his residence permit application rejected on 16 July. "Immediate deportation to Italy", according to the authority that the decision taken on that day. (see note below)
- There is a decision that he should be returned to Italy, where he has a residence, says Fredrik Bengtsson. "Quite advanced"
He states that the 35-year-old was served on July 27 - and 35-year-old is not appealed. This means that the decision is also legally valid. According to the Migration Board was 35-year-old traveling imminent. Fredrik Bengtsson states that in most similar case is about an ordinary scheduled flight.
- It takes some preparation and planning, and in this case had progressed quite far in the planning, says Fredrik Bengtsson.
Has not been heard
According to the Swedish Migration Board information requested 35-year-old for a residence permit for the first time in November 2013 - and got a no more than a month later. After the turn of the year 2013-2014 was found, he deviated and the police were connected. In May 2015 he applied for a residence permit again, which led to the rejection by the Migration Board planned during the summer.
35-year-old, who was badly injured in unknown ways during the attack at Ikea, has still not been heard. He underwent surgery later yesterday and has not yet been assigned a public defender.

NOTE, 'deportation' doesn't mean what we would expect in the EU:
The 35-year-old suspect linked to the double stabbings at an Ikea store in Västerås on Monday had been told that he was set to be expelled from the country, Swedish media are reporting. The man, who police have previously said is an asylum seeker from Eritrea, had attended a meeting with the Swedish Migration Board in Västerås on Monday, Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet first wrote on Wednesday afternoon, quoting the head of the office, Fredrik Bengtsson.
The newspaper published migration board documents calling for the suspect to be deported to Italy, after his application for residency in Sweden was rejected on July 16th.
Other Swedish media quickly picked up on the image.
Under EU law, migrants can be sent back to their first point of entry to the European Union, suggesting that the man may have initially travelled to the Mediterranean from Africa.
The 35-year-old is the main suspect in the case and is understood to remain in hospital in Västerås after sustaining injuries himself.
A second man, 23, has also been questioned by police and has denied being involved in the violence.

Interesting: highlighted in blue from above: "Several people" who resided at the same facility state they knew where these two asylum seekers were that morning, yet this earlier report suggests the opposite:
Both suspects were residents at a migrant accomodation block called "Cold Stone Farm" in Arboga. Quoting from Nyheter Aug 11, 2015 (using google translate)
AT talking with four people staying at the Cold Stone Farm. They all know what happened at Ikea in Västerås on Monday, but none of them know the man suspected of the murder. There live 116 people at Cold Stone Farm, where all residents are waiting for a decision.
