We are over our Fox News habit. We turned it off on Thursday night and haven’t missed a thing. We get all the real news on the internet. There is no reason to subject oneself to the aggravation of being manipulated by the TV media, including Fox News.

Exactly. I can't recall one story of substance that I saw on FNC that I hadn't read about here, often many days earlier. Add to that the fact that their coverage is often slanted and filled with establishment spin, both in what they report and often don't report.

Been watching FNC less and less as the years have gone by, after Thursday night it was *very* easy to just stop tuning them in, period.

Have done the same over the weekend. Using the Internet mostly, Drudge is probably the biggest winner in this mess.

Even had CNN on, really no difference. Jake Tapper is a famous (D) like most reporters, but there is hardly any real difference to the yapping harpies on Fox. Except - I know what to expect at CNN, unlike Fox, who are influenced by Murdoch and company.

I'm feeling more comfortable with 'the devil you know' ...
