Do you agree? Scarborough says conservatives would be angry at an MSM network that treated Trump like Fox did at debate.

Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.

Well, plenty of conservatives are trashing Fox. What’s his point?

I disagree. Republicans rarely get “angry” about anything. They cross the aisle, shake hands and cry and stuff.

But the Morning Joe host went on to make an interesting point today: that if an MSM network had hit Donald Trump with the same sort of gotcha questions that Fox News did during this past Thursday night's debate, the reaction from conservatives would be "volcanic" and that they'd be "trashing" the network for months to come.

Okay. I think we are officially living in perpendicular universes.

Isn't that exactly what's going on in our universe? What the hell is going on in Scarborough's?

I would say we expect the garbage and got'ya questions from the MSM, but on FOX is was more like friendly fire.

As the time graphs show, it was more of a Debate The Moderators than the candidates debating their positions.

Funny, I thought that was what was happening.

As usual Joe knows not what he is talking about.

I think Fox was more interested in promoting their brand then in hosting a “fair and balanced” debate. It seemed to me that the long-winded, pointed questions (basically - “So here’s why you suck; your response?”) were designed to:

1) Keep the camera on the Fox crew longer
2) Dispel the MSM meme that Fox is a tool of the GOP
3) Keep viewers entertained by making the candidates squirm

I prefer the traditional format that makes it up to the candidates if they want to say something harsh about their opponents on stage. Moderator questions ought to be more focused on what solutions candidates advocate on the issues we currently face.

Every 10 years or so Scarborough becomes a conservative for about five minutes. He’s as guilty as anyone, constantly pushing the liberal agenda. He’s the media equivalent Quantrill’s Raiders to the CSA.

Fox has been trying to join the MSM for years and they finally made it.

Is that not what we are doing regarding FOX and Megyn?

That’s sort of the point about Trump. Here is a guy who fights back, and the cowardly GOPe scurries to get away from the bullets.

Newsbsuters got the thesis of Morning Joe wrong.

Joe, Minka, and Mark Halperin take FOX News and Megyn Kelly to the woodshed.

“How can you ask the leading candidate for the GOP, the very first question, about Rosie O’Donnell? That was so pathetic.”

MSNBC questions were often not relevant and hypothetical.
Fox News posed questions which needed to be answered before deciding, IMO.

Trump was on Morning Joe by phone last week. All the pundits (including Barnicle) were very nice to him and asked meaningful (not ad hominem viz. Kelly and Wallace) questions.

I’m not sure what Scarborough’s point was, but I will tell you this, I’ve watched several interviews of Trump on his show and Trump is treated with respect over there.

I think Trump had to knock them about a few times during earlier interviews, but they are fast learners.

Now everyone asks him questions, not all are fair, but all are respectful.

In fact, I think that the blond woman has the hots for Trump.
