IMO though the show started to not be as good around Season 11 (you can’t find an unfunny episode before that), a few years before he left.
After bush got into office they started to jump the shark. Bush derangement syndrome. And shwarzwelder was not THE writer he was A writer. They just started ganging up after that and 9/11.
