GOP Candidates Jump on Bandwagon to Criticize Trump
Breitbart ^ | 8 Aug 2015 | Sarah Rumpf

Posted on 08/08/2015 2:48:32 PM PDT by Red Steel

Trump was unhappy with some of the questions Kelly asked him when she moderated Thursday evening’s GOP Debate and posted a series of aggressive tweets through the wee hours Friday morning. Then, as Breitbart News reported, in a Friday evening appearance on CNN Tonight, Trump said that Kelly had “blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever.” Many interpreted this comment as inappropriate or even sexist.

Fiorina, the only female among the Republican presidential candidates, was the first to criticize Trump’s comments, tweeting that there was “no excuse” for what Trump said and that she stood with Kelly. Pataki tweeted that the “outrage” at his fellow New Yorker was “long overdue” and called it a “sad but predictable meltdown from Trump.”

Late Friday, RedState Editor-in-Chief Erick Erickson disinvited Trump from the RedState Gathering, currently taking place in Atlanta, Georgia. Erickson praised Trump for being a “blunt talker” who “connects with so much of the anger of the Republican base” but said that his “inappropriate” comment had crossed “real lines of decency.”

Trump fired back with a statement of his own, calling Erickson a “total loser,” and tweeting, “Political correctness is killing our country.” He also claimed that he meant blood coming out of Kelly’s nose.

Many were not buying Trump’s belated excuse, including Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld, as well as more of the Republican presidential candidates. Beginning on Saturday morning, several others joined the “Shame on Trump” bandwagon, similar to how they had denounced his previous controversial attacks on and his time as a POW during the Vietnam War.

Yeah like any of those candidates would really take the pledge..tell them to sign their name in blood they won’t do it LOL. Trump was just being honest, can’t blame him for being honest, he’s not a Politician, but the likes of Rand Paul, Chris Christie, Jeb Bush, if Trump or Cruz or Carson were the nominee they would NOT support them, I would bet on it..and I didnt hear this same kind of fuss in 2008 when Hillary Clinton said down the wire she would never support Obama if he were the nominee, did that right to the end when the RAT party gave her no choice and she had to do it..the Clintons have the goods on Obama and vise versa so to keep the Clintons mouth shut Obama gave her the Secretary of State job..I agree even BOR would have been a better moderator, he would call everyone on stage a pinhead and accuse them all of “Bloviating”

The last poll I saw from a couple of days ago had Trump at 24%. At one point, Perry was at 29%.

With 16 candidates and his closest competition at only half that?

Dream on.

Nice to see someone calling him by his real name. These idiot Republicans should stop dancing to the MSM’s tune to attack each other and refute their statements. But John Ellis and Carly would be a ticket Hillary could steamroll over.

GOPee...you failed your people who voted you into House and Senate majorities. You falsified your ambitions of being a repudiation of Obama and his policies. You have done this before and your people aren’t as stupid as they once were due to technology. You are distrusted. Trump will not be any worse than you. At least people are aware they are taking a risk, hoping for something better. If the risk does not prove favorable then we end up with the GOPee as usual anyhow.

Oh, I couldn’t agree more with you on CC! He makes me sick. I have to admit, I was little hopeful for NJ when he first won the governorship. But he soon showed he was just a phony and an idiot like all the rest. Cuddling up to Obama was nauseating! And I didn’t like his comments recently about if he became president he would try to have state pot laws repealed. What business is it of his what we do in Colorado?! He can go suck eggs. He won’t be president. I don’t know who will be, but so many of them have been huge disappointments. I guess I like Cruz the best out of the lot, but even he has some of the politician greasy film on him. I’m not particularly a huge Trump fan, but I really ENJOY him speaking plainly. It’s refreshing. All the rest of them reek of phony and slickster politician.,,just to varying degrees. To turn this country around, that is the LAST thing we need. We’ve tried it their way. We’ve given them chance after chance, and they stab us in the back each and EVERY time! I’m just an ordinary, high school educated (now some college) stay at home mom, and I’ve reached my limit with these jackwads. In elections past, I’ve always voted “R” even for the likes of McCain whom I absolutely despise as much as any Dem. But Palin was great, and she brought energy to that dud’s campaign. I think Romney would have been much better than Obama in 2012, but he pissed me off royally with his attacks on Gingrich during the primary. Still, I voted for him. Even went to a rally here in CO in support of him. And tried to go to one at Red Rocks, but they were over capacity. I was hopeful in 2012. But he didn’t have the fight. He had it with Gingrich, though!, or at least his minions did. But when it came time to giving Obama the old one, two, he choked. Nice guys ain’t gonna cut. The Dems are vicious. They are blood thirsty. And they take no prisoners. That’s what makes Trump appealing to so many. He’s one man, but he can counter some of that cut-throat viciousness. I don’t know if he has enough it in him to counter the phonies in the Repub machine and the sharks in the Dem machine and all the sheeple who still believe what they are told on TV, but he seems to be holding his own so far. Anyway, it’s gonna be interesting...just like the Chinese curse. Thanks for your post/reply. Enjoyed your perspective.

wow ty for such a insightful personal take on CC.
I have to laugh at CC-he’s of that certain mind set of individuals where probably his mother told him he was the best thing since sliced bread growing up and could do no wrong-a Mummy’s Golden Child so to speak-because that’s how he really comes across but for the life of me as I stated before why would a sitting Gov refer to his glory days in high school? and it was a point of reference he himself made! what an untuous fool
Note to all: Has Sarah Palin been muted on the debates or has just not spoken yet? .

GOP candidates and a number of FReepers using this as their wished-for death knell for Trump's campaign. Funny how when the Left does it to someone they like, they carp and whine about the dirty tactics - but when it's someone they dislike, they jump right in with the same sorry crap.

GO CRUZ!!! Keep it up Trump!

Trump tongue in cheek accurately describes a commentator, then most of the media and GOP oddly try to define it and declare themselves outraged and that Trump is over.

This is why Trump may be the next president. We live in a society of hapless fools.
