The derogatory comments directed to Fox News illustrate incorrect and in some instances shallow prior expectations.

It was not the goal of Fox to coddle conservatives with fuzzy wuzzies

The goal that was by the way accomplished, was to produce a well rounded view of all the candidates including the blemishes and rough edges. That was accomplished.

As far as I can tell, all of the candidates were able to make good and strong counter points and then deliver their thoughts.

Disagree. Fox could have let the candidates present their own policy positions and then let the other candidates challenge it.

Instead, the moderators asked skewed interpretations of one's position and then asked the others what's wrong with it. Not even, do you agree with that? One time it was "Was he lying?"

The moderators were setting up a series of 30 second cage matches between the candidates.

I do not agree. The first question about the pledge was obviously designed to single out Trump.

Obviously.

And the some questions that Kelly and Wallace asked of him were of personal nature against him. They were hostile.

The other candidates were not asked such questions.
