Rush Limbaugh today said on his show that the big-money GOP-e bundlers put out the word today to take out Trump at all costs, they're tired of this.
Hence the "Take the Pledge" question at the beginning, and the #WarOnWomen question following.
However, the keys are twofold.
1) The Press *cannot* play the "We will restrict your oxygen and define you to the American people" as they did with Palin.
Palin could make her own oxygen, but could not control the spin; and, as an unknown, people accepted the Press's characterization of her.
Trump, however, is already known, and in his own way, popular for being the man everyone loves to hate : "You're FIRED."
So trying to sink him by showing how abrasive he is doesn't work, 'cause people knew that about him ANYWAY.
And since he is touching on chords that the Washington Cartel Uniparty long suppressed, that aggressive touch makes him even more popular.
2) Speaking of Rush Limbaugh, he said that the reason he remains successful, is that "if the press makes you, it can break you" : if you are merely a product of buzz, then the spotlight can be moved to someone else, and the fickle crowd will follow.
The press *believes* they created Trump. But they didn't: he touched on things people are really honestly fed up about. So attacks on him or moving the spotlight, will simply not work.
Good analysis.
