One question left to be answered in tonight's Republican debate: Will any of the candidates be able to best Trump, the master of mangled, mercurial, and captivating oratory, in the competitive sport of bombastic speechifying? People who remember Ted Cruz's collegiate debating career told National Journal that the Texas senator might be the most qualified. One former debater told the NJ writer — who also debated against Cruz in college — that "he was cool, spectacular, a god." Another said, "I remember him as a scary, driven machine who fought a protracted, bloody land war for total victory," which may or may not have been meant to be hyperbole.
I think that job only consists of him casting a vote if there is a tie. No big deal.
The rest was the best part:
"And I've removed half a brain; although anyone who goes to Washington would think someone beat me to it."
