Head Of Rand Paul Super PAC Indicted
The Huffington Post ^ | 08/05/2015 | Ryan Reilly

Three former staffers for the 2012 presidential campaign of then-Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) -- including one who currently heads the super PAC of Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), Ron Paul's son -- were indicted on Wednesday. The three allegedly engaged in a conspiracy to conceal payments made to an Iowa state senator in exchange for his support of the elder Paul's campaign, according to prosecutors.

The three former staffers -- Jesse Benton, John Tate and Dimitrios Kesari -- have been charged with "conspiracy, causing false records to obstruct a contemplated investigation, causing the submission of false campaign expenditure reports to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) and engaging in a scheme to make false statements to the FEC," according to the Justice Department. Benton is also charged with making a false statement to the FBI, while Kesari is charged with obstruction of justice.

Offer deal to confirm Rand Paul is involved and he can drop from the campaign. Figure he likely knew. Good riddance to him.

OH BOY...this isn’t good at all....

I hate to see something like this come out against someone who, I don’t know if Rand knew or not, but this just isn’t good...

Why do the MSM, RINOs, Washington Cartel, have to throw dirt????

Why can’t we just play in our own sandboxes and let people decide on their own who to vote for...

With the internet the way it is today, you can find anything, but trying to ruin someone is a different story...

this has been festering under the surface for awhile and was determined to be the likely reason McConnell eventually let Benton go as his campaign manager last year. I’m surprised to see Paul then installed him as the head of his PAC after that given the situation.

“Is this news story factual”

Read the story. A copy of the indictment is included. You can read that too.

Can I assume that the investigation into the Obama 2008 credit card donations is next on the task list?

Is it just me or does it seem like these investigations and indictments seem to only be of Republicans? But then, maybe only Republicans do these kinds of things.... /s

Meanwhile Hillary has committed so many felonies that we do not know were to start and she is being rewarded the opportunity to run for the presidency.

Let’s see.

Perry was indicted for using the line item veto as Texas governor.

Now it’s Rand Paul.

General Patreus is crushed and ruined for doing what Hillary did with the e-mails

And Hillary is being rewarded despite multiple potentially very serious felonies with a run to the US presidency.

Seems there is a pattern here.

But, but, but Hillary remains unscathed. Is there a pattern here?

That’s gonna leave a mark!

I wonder if this will be brought up tomorrow, or if everyone will just ignore it since Rand is pretty much ignorable at this point anyway.

It might actually help his campaign if someone were to bring this up. Any publicity is better than none, eh Rand?

Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush have taken tens of millions in “consulting and speaking fees.”

Patreus And Clinton are two rather different situations that are not comparable. What Patreus did was clearly illegal. What Clinton did was not, but is debatable. Classifying after the fact is not her fault. Using a personal server is, thought, absurd and clearly done to circumvent government guidelines. That was wrong.

Clinton used really really poor judgment and she is a pathological liar plus I am not sure she did not violate laws. Some say she has!
