Trump May Be Soaring In The Polls, But The Bookies Aren't So Sure
Zero Hedge ^ | 08/05/2015 | Tyler Durden

Posted on 08/05/2015 9:31:56 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

At 1000-to-1, Kim Kardashian is an outsider in the race to be the next US President but perhaps most notable in the odds that bookies are willing to offer is the 7th place that Donald Trump ranks (at 18-to-1 or just a 5% probability of winning), below GOP rivals such as Jeb Bush (23% probabiity) and Marco Rubio (11% probability). Trump even ranks below Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden according to where the money is being bet! Of course, Hillary remains the odds-on favorite at 10/11 (or 52% probability).

Despite Ranking in Pole Poll Position among GOP candidates, bookies remain unimpressed...

So if - as Trump always explains - you put your money where your mouth is, the bookies appear far less exuberant about Trumps #1 GOP poll position

Pat Paulsen has a better chance...

I don’t buy that Rubio has better odds of winning the odds than Trump or Cruz. Besides fund raising the Rubio campaign is crumbling due to gaffes and the base abandoning him.

I think Trump has become a vehicle more than anything else for anti-establishment rebellion. It is true that Trump is taking conservative positions as he pursues the Republican nomination, but anyone who bothers researching DT’s past positions on just about any given issue clearly sees that Trump has been all over the map. Also a careful analysis of his past political contributions should be thoroughly reviewed and are quite revealing. Talk about RINOs!

Color me old fashioned if you like, but I simply don’t trust DT. I’m not an iconoclast nor am I attracted to such individuals. The candidate’s egomania, pomposity, and bombast should also be concerning. I know we can find fault with any candidate, I plan on sticking with a reliable conservative with a measurable track record of service in public office. I would consider a responsible conservative such as Ted Cruz, Scott Walker, Bobby Jindal, or Rick Perry before I would cast my lot with an unpredictable loose cannon like DT. Also, I would encourage everyone to read Thomas Sowell’s opinion piece in today’s Investor’s Business Daily.

Thanks for posting! I was feeling way to energized and upbeat this morning. A little depression can straighten that right out for you. /s

[UK is clueless about American mindset.]

They haven’t a clue about the American Spirit of Freedom either.

A Kardashian WH couldn’t be worse than what we have now. Celebs, homosexuals, drugs, parties, jetting around the world with a few hundred of their closest friends, scandals, photo ops, fashionista sightings, lack of morals, etc.... sound familiar?

they have Arnold swartseneger(sp?) on there and he is indisputably unable to be elected. This bookie outfit is a scam.

I hope they're making a mistake here, especially since they don't have Cruz high (and have Hillary high). I really hope so.

It does seem bookies do tend to get things accurate ...and least more than polls.

Then you should take those odds and put some money down.
