Sorry about the headline, folks.
Authorities are now weighing whether he will face more charges in the wake of Pharis death.
Cops say Ramirez was arrested at a nearby home that he broke into following the attack.
You got the point across just fine.
Meanwhile, down the coast:

UPDATE: Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting Santa Maria...
Police spokesman Sergeant Riley Harwood told NewsChannel 3 that 30-year-old Juan Carlos Herrera Romero and 26-year-old Gabino Andres Grande Romero raped a homeless woman early Wednesday morning on East Beach in Santa Barbara.
The alleged incident happened on the sand, along the 600 block of Cabrillo Boulevard.
Harwood said the men spent Tuesday evening fishing off Stearns Wharf and drinking beer, and talked about targeting a homeless woman to rape.
Sometime in the overnight hours, the two men allegedly found the 62-year-old woman with a 69-year-old male companion, sleeping on the beach.
“The two men accosted the two homeless people camping,” Harwood said. “They brandished a knife and physically subdued both and took turns sexually assaulting the female victim.”

Second illegal arrested in Santa Maria case:
anta Maria Police arrested a second suspect Tuesday in connection to a July 24 home invasion assault of a woman who died eight days after the attack.
Jose Villagomez, 20, was booked on charges of sexual assault and attempted murder.
Victor Aureliano Martinez Ramirez, 29, pleaded not guilty last Friday to attempted murder, first-degree burglary with person present, assault with intent to commit rape, sexual penetration by foreign object and resisting a peace officer.
The next day, the victim, 64-year-old Marilyn Pharis, died at Marian Regional Medical Center.
An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday, and the District Attorney’s Office and Police Department are determining whether to press additional charges.
Villagomez was already in County Jail at the time of his arrest, as he was arrested on July 28 on unrelated charges, according to the Police Department.
The department now says it doesn’t believe there are any other suspects in the case.
Thank-you. It is a rampage of evil coming at us.

Must be a fresh journalism school grad and somebody should correct them that he was being held on $1 million bail.
Seriously, what delusion-induced naiveté writes that sentence?
Murders by illegal aliens happen because Obastard cares more about political power than protecting American lives.
Not clear? Not clear??? Because we left the door open and are handing out freebies. They know after committing a crime, all they need to do is head back south for a couple weeks and come back under a new name.
I’ll take “Things Liberals Whitewash” for $50, Alex.
His shock troops do not need their orders. They were chosen by type.
