Two Illegal Immigrants Appointed to City Commissions in California

A lawmaker in Huntington Park, California, has prompted outrage in the community after tapping two illegal immigrants to serve as commissioners on city advisory boards.

CBS Los Angeles reported that first-year City Councilman Jhonny Pineda, himself a documented immigrant to the United States, has appointed Francisco Medina to join the city’s health and education commission and Julian Zatarain to sit on the parks and recreation commission.

The move makes Huntington Park the first city in the state to appoint illegal immigrants to city commissions.

Pineda, who promised when running for his seat to create more opportunities for illegals, championed the city as one of “opportunity” and “hope.”

“Huntington Park is a city of opportunity and a city of hope for all individuals regardless of socioeconomic status, race, creed, or in this case, citizenship,” Pineda explained in a statement. “Both these gentlemen have accomplished a great deal for the city. For that, on behalf of the city council, mayor, and our city, I want to say thank you to them both and I am confident they will do an excellent job on their commission posts.”

Do they get nice pay and benefits?

No, they wanted just to get their toes in the door, so at this time, there is no monthly stipend (typically $75 a month) being paid to these illegal alien members of the advisory council.

Of course, that will change, after all, once they've been on the panel for a couple months, isn't it unfair that the city council is treating them like illegal aliens, err, I mean 'second class citizens' (barf) by not paying them?

A whole lot of the town is outraged, and I seriously hope that they realize that they can recall the council, and put an end to this attack on their city.

Trickle down government. It’s here.

Amazing - can you imagine Guadalajara appointing an American, in the country of Mexico illegally, to its city council? How about Bogata, Columbia? Rio, Brazil? How about Paris, France?

Nope, in every case.

We really are living in bizarro world.

Doing the commissioner jobs Americans won’t do.

Score! I said it before. The first thing to be fundamentally transformed would be the Democrat party. Well, at least the illegals are not living in the shadows any more.

Hey, ICE! Since you can’t seem to find any illegals in a Mexican protest parade, here are two you could pick up at the next city council meeting.

If Trump made a big stink out of this he would easily go up another 10 points.

Anyway to get this suggestion to him?

Re minds me of the admonition that I think Monroe or Madison stated about the adoption of the US Constitution ie. It is a good government if you can keep it this way. The tremendous migration allowed over the last 20-30 years has proven how right the warning was. Immigrants of the vast majority think/believe that the land of opportunity is for freebees.
