“As things settle down, I expect his number to go lower.”

Just how do you think things are going to “settle down”?

Trump is hitting every note with perfect pitch and he is building a political machine in all the early primary states. How do you think that equates to going lower? As Jeb and Scotty fade look for Trump to suck up higher numbers with Cruz coming up somewhat but still not nearly enough.

I love Cruz but he has about $50 million and Donald has over $300 million in cash in his bank account.

This GOP nomination is Trump’s to lose.

I keep hearing that this is Trump’s to lose. Yet, we are still very early in the process. Trump is not coherent on many issues and his past affiliations/positions are going to cause him trouble.

He is at 19% in the latest poll...good, but not up near 30 like he was. Cruz is gaining momentum underneath...which is also good. Trump will fade when the novelty wears off and the shtick starts getting old.

I could be wrong, but don’t give him the keys to the nomination yet...remember, Guiliani and even Hillary should have won if you looked at polling this early the last time.

Also, look closely at internals of the polls you cite. In Republican polls, Trump doesn’t do as well...

Among Tea Party voters, he is losing to Cruz. Just saying...let’s put things into perspective. If Trump is this strong going into IA and beyond, then I will agree with you.

BTW, doesn’t Trump have 60% of us who definitely WONt vote for him? Not a good sign.
