Hat tip to freeper “proust”!
I listened to it, DT said he doesn’t want donations which is interesting, also he didn’t sound too convincing like he was going to be in it for the long haul. Interesting.
And however he might sound, I think he is it to win it.
But...I have been wrong before.
Why a video link? Wasn’t it a radio show?
I forgot to listen. Oh wait, no, I got a phone call just before it came on.
Video with audio takes up a lot less website space than mp3 audio alone.
Doc Savage wants to head the NIH.
I listened to it. It was a decent interview.
Savage is sometimes ‘too Savage’ for his own good. He asks a question and doesn’t allow the guest to answer. He asked about voter ID, and Trump veered off course. Savage asked again, and didn’t focus. He talked and Trump didn’t get a chance to clarify. It’s an important issue.
He asked if Trump would issue an executive order to force an ID check at voting booths. First of all, that’s not the process. This needs to be taken up by Congress. Executive Orders are no more acceptable on our side than they are when Democrats issue them. One exception, when striking down idiotic EOs by former presidents like Obama.
Trump represented himself well. He sounds like a supporter of Israel, dogging Schumer for agreeing to approve of the Iran Nuclear deal.
Trump said this was probably our last chance to turn things around . He has said many times that HE was the man to do it . That tells me he is in for the long haul .
It was a soft ball interview IMO
Trump is not afraid to talk with anyone. I love it.
“He asked about voter ID, and Trump veered off course.”
That is not quite the way the link on Drudge had it.
I don’t care for the adoration up front. I don’t care if you’re open about the fact you’re fawning, it’s still objectionable when you do it. Savage was just too brown nosing for me.
It doesn’t disturb me as much as it may others, because I have also heard Trump answer questions that were rather pointed. Yesterday he addressed the rape allegation. He’s also addressed the donation to Leftist issue. He doesn’t hide from these questions, and he didn’t get angry at the person asking he question.
I will say that he did nail Gretta Van Susteren about it, because he felt that the debunking had already taken place, and to continue to ask about it was more or less an unfair slander of him. He’s entitle to that opinion. She asked. He answered. The dialogue continued and he matter of factly explained his thoughts on the question. He wasn’t overly offensive about it.
I would probably agree that it was too much of a softball interview. I will say that Trump has been and will continue to be vetted. We honestly can’t say he’s been given a free ride. He has been attacked resoundingly.
That’s okay. Tell us what the Drudge link offered up. It may jog my memory and I’ll agree with you. I’m not attempting to be the end all on the topic. If he said something of value positive or negative, I’m not trying to sanitize it.
I think I indicated I wanted to hear more on the issue, so I wasn’t trying to say he answered it satisfactorily for me.
“It was a soft ball interview IMO.”
What is a hard ball interview? “Did you rape your wife?” “Why did you walk out on the lawyer pumping her breast milk?”
By the way, the lawyer pumping her breast milk - it would be wise for anyone in Trump’s position to leave immediately. There is no telling what she could have done with it if he had stayed.
Yes EOs can't be used to do this. Trump knows. States have tried to past ID voter laws then some liberal judges snafus the laws despite that the Supreme Court has said otherwise? Many dishonest judges have.
I want to make sure everyone knows Trump didn’t address EOs the way I did. I did not mean to infer he had. I hope I didn’t mislead anyone. I want him to address it that way, but he didn’t.
As I said, Savage didn’t really do an effective job on drawing his opinion out in my estimation.
Thanks for your note of agreement Red Steel.
I agree with your take on dishonest or perhaps more accurately severely flawed judges who don’t have a clue what their true job is.
According to the article, Savage asked Trump if he would establish a national voter ID by executive degree. Then Savage explained why he didn’t want Trump to answer the question, and continued with a monologue. Then Trump broke through the monologue to say he was for voter ID laws.
I do remember Trump saying that. I did not address that part of his comments because it didn’t respond specifically to the E.O. end of it. It’s quite fair for you to bring this to my and other people’s attention. I support Trump, so it wasn’t my intention to short change him.
Folks, I also want to run something by all of you. I know that almost everyone disagrees with me on this, so that being said here goes.
I am diametrically opposed to a national identity system. There’s no way I want a national ID Card. If you have to have an ID to vote, you have to submit to an ID Card process. Is that something that citizens should be forced into?
I am assured by many people, that is is. I remain unsold on that. I do believe people should be challenged when they vote. I don’t know how you accomplish one without the other.
That’s is a dilema for me.
Thank you, Bump!
