I hope Trumps MSNBC interview doesnt surprise too many people: Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump took a softer stance [on] immigration during a television interview Friday, saying he believes in a merit system for undocumented immigrants already living in the U.S.
During Fridays interview, Trump said the U.S. should take a two-step approach to the 11 million undocumented immigrants currently living in the country. Wouldnt it be nice if there really were only 11 million? The actual number is probably at least three times that high and rocketing upward every moment. Meanwhile, we cant find even a loose cannon, ostensibly anti-establishment candidate who wants to enforce immigration law.

No, he’s right.
As a Cruz supporter, I believe this thread is purposely deceptive.
I don’t like deception. Not from anyone for any reason.
Music to my ears.
Music to MANY ears, I’m sure :-)
I listened to his entire speech live. He did not say anything about amnesty. Sheesh!
BTTT...
...appreciate your standing up for the truth.
It was a great interview.
They aren’t going to listen to you though, they are convinced that they know Trump is a liberal and will bring amnesty. They won’t believe their own ears or eyes and arguing with them is a waste of time. It’s like arguing with a mule or an appaloosa. :)
So, we should ignore what he said Friday because he said something different on Monday?
Problem is....he never really said it on Friday....or, any day.
I don’t take the word of liberal trolls.
This is a version of the old Mike Pence touch back scam.
It seems reasonable to deport the criminals (aside from just being here, which is criminal, too) immediately, send them back, and to remodel the immigration process to make it easier for the productive (especially English speaking) ones to immigrate.
That (especially with closing the border) could be viable and controllable and an improvement on what is going on and has been going on for the last quarter century.
As for 11 million, the real number is likely 4 times that.
I have no problem with letting some of the productive hard workers back in in a controlled fashion, and the scenario above would allow for screening out the La Raza and welfare types and other dead weight.
If you want to be an American, come here. If not, plan to go home.
Ms Long, we certainly watched two different Trumps talk because mine said he would speed the return of those here illegally. Yours mustve left out the part about a privileged advantage over others that never initially entered illegally.
I have a hard time trusting Trump considering his past and things he has said, but it is possible for people to change their minds.
I’ve changed my mind on things.
I don’t know for a fact if he is lying or telling the truth, but I will give the man the benefit of the doubt until such time that I have a concrete reason not to.
I would like to believe that even someone who used to be a democrat could take a look at America today and see that she is going straight down and fast.
And yes, Trump, support him or not, has done this election season a good service by focusing attention on things that really matter, and exposing the fraudulent GOP, so I thank him American to American for that.
I would love to see Cruz and Trump on a ticket together.
Cruz could be a real policy shaper for Trump and they could do a lot of Big things done.
Now you dont sound like a McCain, jus one a dem get out da Bushes
I think yours was coming in on Telemundo, FRiend. Trump said no such thing about ANY illegals having a privileged advantage over those already in line.
That thought has crossed my mind, too.
God Bless America and everyone who truly wants to save her!
Amen!
“Nope. On Hannity tonight he said send them back to country of origin and come back legally.”
Exactly. He spelled it out on Hannity’s program tonight.
