I’d rather stick a fork in my hand than vote for that arrogant fop.

I like Chris Plante’s name for him...

In his heart of hearts, sure. He wants to be president. Maybe he always has. Since he was a child. But he's 72 years old and even Kerry himself must have trouble now seeing how that could happen at this point.
Being able to point to something he did as Secretary of State and say, "Look what a wonderful president I would have made!" -- that's something John Kerry probably thinks is still an option. Even when a politician is no longer realistically eligible for the presidency, they may still think of themselves as being in the race for "the best president we never had."
Plus, I don't think he can stand being out of the limelight.

I have always thought he would jump in. I think the obamites nominated him SoS just to screw with Hillary, whom Valerie Jarrett despises.
He will actually be more qualified than her (SoS as long, Senator much longer, and he never lost the dem nomination for president), and he’s still suffering from raging butt hurt over ohio in 2004.

Bolt Neck. Never John Kerry, always Bolt Neck.

Obama wants a second Nobel Peace Prize.
He will throw Kerry under the bus and smile about one less cracker.

The only “launch” for Kerry would be to send him into a one way orbit to the moon or beyond. Obviously, he has no place on this plant.
