I believe it’s a threat more than a consideration, because he wants to manipulate people into supporting him OR ELSE.

Trump is a control freak who wanted to take away my right to vote in the NY State GOP primaries for governor. He told the GOP Chairman, Ed Cox. that he would not run if there were a primary. Cox basically told him he had to follow the same rules as everybody else.

This is not the first time Trump threatened to run 3rd party. He did so in previous race - it’s what he does.

Ed Morrissey doesn't make the claim that Trump threatened to run third party. That claim came from Bob Cusack who told Kevin Cirilli at hill.com that he had a 40 minute interview with Trump on July 22, and he told him that the Donald would run 3rd party if the GOP is not nice to him.

I searched all over to find the interview but came up empty. The only interview that I could find for July 22nd was the one he did with Anderson Cooper which I just watched via YouTube. I thought perhaps Cooper asked him if he was going to run third party, but he did not.

So all that speculating needs to stop and we must stop listening and read anything from that leftwing rag The Hill.

IMO there is no way Donald Trump will run as a third party candidate. He is simply tweaking the nose of the RNC.
