Article leaves me somewhat puzzled. The Feds limited the trail to two wheel vehicles (presumably bicycles), horseback riding, and hiking. So who can’t use the trail and what was he protesting for?
The disabled (many of them veterans) and the elderly can no longer access these areas they have been hunting in and enjoying for decades. What was he protesting? An out of control government.
Jeeps and other 4x4 vehicles used by families, older & less able people.
It doesn’t make sense to me, either......................
He wants to ride ATVs on the trail.
Not a terribly sympathetic cause, imo.
Maybe try losing some weight and riding a bike.
4 wheelers are mostly used during hunting season.
People on ATVs can’t use the trail.

I suspect that it is an old road used for decades if not centuries.
